After putting on my own personal bowling shoes and before getting to roll my first ball, I stepped in water and that prevented me from being able to use them and bowl in form bc it was my sliding shoe that got wet. I couldn’t find a way to dry it, so I tried to get a rental pair of shoes but I was unable to get adjusted to the rental shoe having a heel and my personal shoes didn’t. So I was unable to bowl bc as a bowler with a sliding approach, walking up to the line to roll the ball, nothing worked. Oh and after I showed the guy behind the counter where I stepped in water, can you believe the water was still there when we got finished bowling? No attempt to even prevent this from happening to someone else and possibly preventing someone from falling where the water was or falling on the lanes, as I almost did. The keypad to enter names on one side of the input stand was completely worn off and many of the letters didn’t work, so no one’s name was able to be put in correctly at all, not one person! We had to look at the buttons on the left lane side to see what each button was supposed to be on the right lane side, only to find out that most of the buttons didn’t work. The floor had a whole chunk of tiles missing and cracks, that appeared to be a safety hazard for everyone. This was right there at the seats for the lane entrance. Pics attached I must add that when I went up to get a rental pair of shoes, I told the young man that I stepped in water right there at the counter, he apologized. When I returned the shoes after one frame of trying to bowl, I told him that I was unable to bowl with those bc of the heel being present, he apologized again. He offered me a powder ball to see if it would help, but it didn’t. I was disappointed that I wasn’t offered to not have to pay for the 1 game of bowling that I continued to bowl, so as to not disappoint my niece by not...
Read moreThis is an absolute fun place to go. They are clean, and the staff is nice. The only reason I give it three stars is because they won't allow you to to add the bumpers without a small child. I found this out the hard way yesterday. I had my niece and nephews with me the first few times I went bowling, but I wanted to get in some extra bowling practice in alone to enhance my playing skills so I could hang out here and more often and have fun. I don't have the best stamina. or hand-eye coordination skills, so I phoned for get assistance with the bumpers up, an the lady asked if I had kids, which I told her no, that I am alone, and that's why she told me that bumpers are only for small kids. I was ready to spend about $20 dollars that night to bowl a bunch of games, but because of that, I only bowled one, paid my $6, and got out of there ASAP as Friday nights before 11:00 p.m there are too expensive to play, only to get gutter balls most of the time, so that crushed my confidence in this becoming a regular hobby greatly and buying my own bowling gear for it. Now I think I will just come every now and then when I can bring my niece and nephews with me, and if I can't bring them, but have a bad urge to bowl, I will just go on a Sunday where it's cheaper to get mostly gutter balls. This is just my personal gripe, but other than that, I totally recommend this place to have fun! I just hope they would reconsider their bumper assistance policy in the future. If they do, then I'd go there SO...
Read moreI would give a zero but that’s not possible. So I give you……a 1. Awful customer service. Not everyone but one man Inparticular. Didn’t get his name but trust me you’ll know who it is when you deal with him. There’s not many places in Anderson to hold a kids party. So when we called and they said they didn’t do birthday parties but we could come early for lanes it was fine. No biggie. We asked if we could bring a cake and they said yes. Perfect! So we planned on 2 lanes, buying the kids lunch at their snack bar (8 kids), bringing a small cake and doing it that way. The woman on the phone said that was totally fine. We get there and this man literally followed the person that picked up the cake for me and said “no cakes because of Covid”. Mind you….NOBODY in this place was wearing a mask. I don’t care either way. I let him know I had called and asked and they told me it was fine. Nope. He took the cake and as he walked away said “this is why we don’t do birthday parties”. He was absolutely the rudest person. The snack bar doesn’t open until noon when the alley opens at 11. So no drinks unless you have cash for vending machines. Or unless you’re a regular….if you are you’re apparently welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks from outside. I will never step foot in this bowling alley ever again. Guess the drive to Greenville isn’t so bad. Y’all should really work on big man’s customer service skills. Or...
