I have frequented this adorable shop many times since 2020 and always make it a point to take visitors from out of town. However after my visit with the owner on Friday, I won't go back. I purchased a leather crossbody bag and strap this past summer. After carrying it once for less than an hour, I noticed the stitching was coming undone at the seam near the top/side. I went back into the store to ask if I could exchange it. The owner was extremely unhelpful and rude, to the point it was embarrassing me in front of the other customers. She refused to help and repeated several times, "what do you want me to do about it?" I suggested exchanging it for another bag (there were some hanging right behind me - I turned around and pointed) and she said no, I can't do that. After pressing her and defending myself (yes, I indeed purchased it there. No, I wasn't trying to be difficult, I would just like to see if she could help me with the purse I bought at her store) She finally caved and told me to 'go have it repaired as long as it wasn't expensive'. (not even elaborating on what that means or how she would take care of it, if I did what she suggested) I finally just walked out taking my bag with me. The owner is always grouchy, has never been kind or thankful for business. I have watched her literally ignore customers standing at the counter, awkwardly looking towards her for help. I was in customer service for 28 years and can't imagine ever treating customers the way she does. I have witnessed her ill treatment of customers before and assumed she was having a bad day, but it seems to be her normal attitude. I'm done and never going back. It's astonishing that her store is still open with the way she...
Read moreSanta Maria Provisions is one of my absolute favorite stores in Santa Fe. The owner, Juliann, is a true delight—dedicated, passionate, and endlessly hardworking. When she’s not in the shop, she’s traveling the globe, sourcing the most exquisite treasures from places like Paris and beyond. Her eye for unique and quality items is unparalleled.
As a Santa Fe local, I have a handful of shops I return to time and again, and Santa Maria Provisions is always at the top of my list. The selection is a treasure trove of beautifully curated finds, and every visit feels like uncovering something special.
Another thing I adore about Santa Maria Provisions is its location, tucked away in the enchanting Sena’ Plaza. It’s like stumbling upon a secret garden, and at its heart is Juliann’s magnificent shop.
Thank you, Juliann, for your dedication and for bringing such exceptional products to Santa Fe. Your hard work shines in every detail of this...
Read moreSo disappointed in Santa Maria Provisions! We make an effort to shop here every time we come to Santa Fe but today was such a let down! Bought a beautiful $125 white linen shirt that the store wrapped in orange colored tissue paper… by the way, knowing it was stormy outside! When the tissue paper ran color onto the white shirt after the rain started we went back and asked for a replacement, or possibly a discount. Guess what, it’s our responsibility that we got caught in the rain with the colored tissue paper! Well, that’s three customers who spent over $600 today in your store who will not be back! But thanks for the dish soap you gave us to try to hand wash ourselves in our hotel! Tip… use white tissue paper! Kudos to the patron in front of us smart enough to ask for a plastic bag with NO colored...
