My complaint is about an employee “Ignacio” at iSquad in Santee.
On Nov. 23rd, 2024, I went into iSquad in Santee and spoke to Ignacio I asked if he could replace the battery in my Cell Phone. He told me he could have the battery there in “One Hour”, he was supposed to call me. So I left and canceled all my morning appointments and waited for his phone call. After over 2 Hours I did not hear back, so I called him. I said, “it has been over 2 hours and I have not heard back from him, did he get the battery”. Immediately he seemed to have an issue with me asking a direct question about my order. He got an “Attitude” with me and said he did not like the way I was talking to him; he said I was “Rude”. I did not get mad, I simply responded by apologizing. I said I apologize if you thought I was Rude; I was merely asking if you received the cell battery, as you said it would only be “one hour,” and he never called back with an update. I canceled all my morning appointments due to what he told me. He then said he didn’t want to do business with me. I again apologized and he then said he would check about the battery and call me back, he never called.
So after playing out the incident in my head, I was never Rude, but civil and simply asked a direct question about the battery. I did not use any profanity or curse at him. Then I realized it was not me who should have apologized; it was he who should have apologized to me. He was the one who called me a name “Rude” and wasted my time, my whole morning, as I waited for him to do what he promised. And then he decided to alienate me from the agreed-upon business transaction.
I don’t understand how a company that treats its customers so badly can stay in business. Ignacio not only lost a customer who was simply trying to patronize his business, but I will also tell all my friends and family and leave negative feedback on social media.
Now, the caveat is that perhaps this was an anomaly and he was having a “bad day,” or perhaps this is his normal operating procedure when treating some customers, and if so, then I believe the iSquad management or corporate office needs to intervene before the business is lost to competition. Which is where I went, I simply went down the street to “UbreakIfix”, the competition, and patronized their business; they were friendly, courteous, professional and happy to have my business.
I very seldom spend time writing these company feedbacks, as I am very busy and short on time; however, I do believe this incident needed to be documented.

Read moreI just returned from iSquad repair again without a fixed screen. I cracked my screen a few months ago and brought it to iSquad repair to fix. The first screen had a mind of its own and launched applications without me touching the screen. So I brought my phone back. They replaced it with the last screen they had for an iphone 5c that had a bubble in the glass, they said that they could replace it with a better one later when the part came in, but everything seemed to work okay, so I just kept it. A few months later the button popped out and there was a small crack by the button. I brought my phone back and this time they said that I would have to pay for a new screen and a new button. The way I understood it, was that the parts were under warranty. I guess the bottom line is that I paid to have a screen replaced and I got crappy parts that are most likely made in China and most importantly they do not guarantee the parts, so I would look somewhere else, unless you want to pay to replace your screen...
Read moreAs I was preparing to leave town, I realized the battery on my iphone was running out too fast. I stopped in to iSquad at the recommendation of a verizon salesman at Costco. I was in and out in about 10 minutes with a smile, as they installed the battery at no additioonal cost! That evening, my phone went completely dead!!!! Fear set in as we had to be at the airport at 4:00am! I drove to iSquad, knowing their closing time was 7:00, and amazingly enough, they were still open at 7:30!! He immediatly changed out the battery (it was faulty), gave me instructions for the reboot, and HIS PERSONAL PHONE NUMBER. He said if I had any problems, call him any time that night, regardless of the time, and he would meet me at the shop. How is that for SERVICE??!! I luckily didn't need to call, and all is good. I would recommend this shop to everyone!! I am sorry I lost the name of the individual, but he...
