The Coffee Corner — Restaurant in Santee

I love the place, it is clean and there is very nice places to gather with friends and loved ones.

I asked for a coffee in my own mug so that we don’t have to throw away cups after one use, I was told that they can’t do that because it is a health code violation.

Californian health-code 114075 states this:

“a) Except for refilling a consumer's drinking cup or container without contact between the pouring utensil and the lip-contact area of the drinking cup or container, food employees shall not use tableware, including single-use articles, soiled by the consumer, to provide second portions or refills.”

This clearly allows for employees to fill up consumers cups.

I didn’t want to get into an argument with the employees there since they do not make the rules. But hopefully the owner of this establishment will see this and rectify the situation. I’m tired of seeing one-use cups as trash on the sides of streets and in...

Santee Coffee Corner is hands-down one of my favorite local spots. Their açaí bowls are my go-to — super fresh, delicious, and perfectly made every time. The espresso is also top-notch, smooth and flavorful, and easily one of the best cups you’ll find in town.

What really sets this place apart is the people. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming — it genuinely feels like visiting family. You can tell they care about the community too. They're constantly supporting local schools, nonprofits, and events in Santee. It's a family-owned business with heart, and it shows in everything they do.

I stopped by The Coffee Corner for a coffee during my lunch break today. There’s plenty of seating inside, and they also have outdoor tables. The interior is nice, and the atmosphere is pleasant — overall, everything felt good. They have a wide selection of drinks to choose from. The only downside was that some tables were a bit dirty when I arrived, but I later saw a staff member cleaning them, so that was fine. I had a latte, and it was quite tasty.
