I visited Savannah 8/19 thru 8/22. I had a sweet-tooth as I scanned the River walk when all of a sudden I spotted Byrd’s Famous Cookies! It’s definitely historical! Since 1924 Byrds have been baking assorted cookies! They even have a “cookie sample “ section in the back. So you can try a cookie or two before you purchase to see if it’s to your liking! They sell cookie cans, bags of cookies, you can even create a bag and make your own cookie bag! Service was outstanding! One employee shared with me the history of the store! While this was a bit disappointing due to my preference for softer cookies, it's purely a matter of taste. Despite this, the visit was delightful.
