I went there last week to buy souvenirs. I noticed an elderly man was following me around the store. I ignored him. Then when I went to the cash register to pay for the items and gave him my debit card, he insisted that I show him my driver's license or some other form of ID. I asked him why because I've shopped and dined all over Savannah the past week and no one asked me about my ID. I was flabbergasted. I suddenly realised why. I'm a dark skinned indian woman. I gave him my ID and then he rang my purchase. After that, I stood around the corner and saw he rang two white women with their credit cards but he never asked for their ID.
