was looking for pho in town , but the other place down the street closes at 5 pm for some reason. tried this place out, it was early dinner hours so I was the only one there. I actually had to use the restroom, but found they didn't even have any for guests. So, I had to hurry up to eat and try to find another place and that was not an ideal experience. Anyways, "Heidi" or the name on my order provided the most minimal service, acting very short with fake attentiveness and not really giving a ** the entire time. Don't know if it's a cultural thing or maybe they're from up NYC or something. I can deal with that, and i hope she is the manager , because I wouldn't have wait staff like that if I was the owner. Like someone/anyone walk over to a Chik-fil-a and learn how service works and take notes There was literally one pho option and it was $14 for one of the smaller portions I've ever seen for pho anywhere in the country. As you know, pho tends to come in behemoth sized bowls with even a "small" will leave any adult full. This was a shallow kind of bowl, the bean sprouts and basil on the side were damp and a bit wilted. I actually did read about some of this on another review, so that was expected. I did end up eating everything and was full after all, but wasn't sure at first. The broth was OK and everything was alright, but nothing to write home about or come back for. I think had the service been top notch, I would come back if in the area. Even at $14 a bowl and no bathroom. Not interested in trying the other...
Read moreThis restaurant was once a favorite of mine but after today I will not be returning. I order the same item, the exact same way every time I come which is a Big Papa with no cucumbers( not listed on menu but cucumbers come in roll). My server was amazing not sure what his name was but i saw he did note it on my ticket. i picked up my order on my lunch and returned to work only too see there were cucumbers under the topping. I called to see if i could jus come the following day to get another order as my original was made incorrectly, i over heard the whole conversation pertaining to my order. After speaking tp the server he informs me that i can come back the following day but they would only remake the roll and not the topping. I asked why as i paid for an entire order not jus the roll . I understood that this wasnt his fault so i asked to speak to a manager. Allen pretty much refused to remake my entire order that i PAID for. I did not pay for half an order and i dont understand why i would be penalized for the chefs mistake. Its wild to say you'll replace a portion of an order as if i was charged individually for the roll and topping. It...
Read moreFresh and flavorful! Made with efforts and expertise! I just searched restaurant near me and randomly hopped in, and I found a GEM. The ginger salad is hand grated with a lot of real, fresh ginger, I can see and taste the ginger fiber. This is the best ginger salad I’ve ever had. The shrimp sauce is also freshly made, it has a refreshing flavor that makes it stand out from other Japanese restaurants. It pairs well with EVERYTHING. The tempura is coated and fried to perfection, it tastes crispy, and it doesn’t feel greasy. I also love the dipping sauce at the side. The only part that’s not so perfect is that the tempura is sooo big that it doesn’t fully fit the dipping cup lol. Really decent portion! For sushi, I only tried the sushi combo, what I ate is absolutely 💯. The spicy tuna is seasoned perfectly and it doesn’t compromise the flavor and texture of tuna. Most importantly, everything is FRESH. This is the key of good sushi. Everything I ate was recommended by the waiter who worked here for years, and I am extremely satisfied about my dining experience. I wish I could know this place earlier so that I can try more things on menu....
