Dillard's — Local services in Scottsdale

This place is one of the most upscale places I’ve ever been and it’s a mall. Talk about making someone feel uncomfortable I guess they thought I was gonna steal something they followed me around and watched my every step. I’m just a regular little lady from Louisville ky nothing fancy and this place was way out of my league I was in Arizona visiting a friend who suggested we went there because the zoo was out of the question. It was 117° in Arizona that day so anyways each employee there came up to me asking if I needed help checking me to see if I was pocketing anything I did try every perfume on the counters and applied some of those really expense lotions to my skin I was covered in the stuff and looking back I guess I gave them reason I must have looked a fool covered it all the makeup lotion and smelling probably real fruity anyways. I can see where the rich would love this mall it had 3 floors and nothing but the best of the best of everything. And even things that aren’t but what would cost me 10 in my local mall would cost 4 maybe 5 times here. There were juice dining and many clothing shops here my girl ended up buying a 300 purse that I could have saved her possibly 200 on and sent it to here viausps but I guess she likes all the glam of saying she got it at this mall not me my money is to hard to come by living on ssi disability month to month so I make every penny count! But if I was rich I would probably be there along w all the Rich and probably Famous . I give this place 4 stars cause it is a super powerhouse mall Im not the best dresser my top cost me 3 bucks and my shorts maybe 10 but I’m no thief. The associates here only want to help you if you're going to help them get a high sales commission. I left offended and embarrassed.

I came in looking to buy a new suit. I asked the associate at the check out counter (I beleive he said his name was Mike) if he was able to get my measurements so I could browse the men's suits. He told me "we don't do that here". I told him I guess I would just start trying things on then. Then he says "oh, well I can SELL you a suit" and begins to take out his measuring tape and get my measurements.

He then walked me over to a section of jackets my size and has me try one on. I thought it looked nice but I was concerned about the price. He told me the price was more than double what I was looking to spend. I told him my price range (which really isn't that unreasonable) and he took the jacket off of me and proceeded to tell me that Dillard's doesn't carry anything that cheap, and that anything that price would be low quality and won't last. He named dropped another store in the mall and said I should try there. Then he just left.

I thought it was weird that he would tell me that I would never find anything in my price range in the store, because I looked at a few suits after the fact, and easily found ones in my range or even cheaper. Not to mention it seemed like half the suits were on sale. I'm sure I could have found something for me but decided to take my business elsewhere after being talked down...

I came in a couple of weeks ago to check some shoes out and some suits. This dapper young man with a boller cap came to me and said his name was William he was in all brown and I was impressed with his real suede suit set. He was telling me alot about the shoes and said that most of our shoes have the finest leather coming from some us factory which I found weird but he was a nice gentleman so I went along. Then he tells me about some suit called a botany 500 and that it was made with quality from there plant in Philadelphia. Then all of a sudden I was in a different store like with all old clothing Then I came back to another sales me asking if I was alright. I said I was fine and asked him where I could find the botany500s. He chuckled and said they went out years ago are you ok sir maybe I can interest you in something comparable with are hart schaffners. I said no I would like to leave. As I left to go to the elevator I saw the same sales person I had encountered again only this time he was accompanied by a native american. He tells me that little Chicago suit company doesn't even compare to a botany500. The native american had opened this circle portal and asked me if I wanted to jump in I said no and ran out of the elevator to my car and left. Look I have no idea what yall have there but I want nothing to do with it. Yall need to get ghost hunters or a priest...
