Amazon workers are SCAMMERS! I ordered refrigerator nearly 2 weeks ago now. When the fridge was delivered, it could not fit through the door, the delivery team took it back unopened. I immediately called Amazon who stated I would receive my refund within 3 days. I am still waiting more than a week later. When I called again, a worker who identified himself as Harry Williams ID#HW2010214 said he would assist me in getting the refund. He proceeded to access my phone and hit me to purchase gift cards from Target saying that was how the money would be refunded. I lost $850 before realizing it was a scam by someone working at Amazon. Of course he provided a fake name. To date, I’m still out $2,143.75 yet to be returned because according to Amazon my purchase was made through a third party vendor who would have to return the money, and not them. I insisted that I purchased from Amazon and there was never any notice saying the purchase was through a vendor. I kept insisting for my money to be returned and I’m still waiting. On top of the $850 dollars that their employee scammed from me, I’m still out $2,143.75. I am seething with anger as I will not be able to buy my grandkids their Christmas presents. Amazon is the worst when it comes to online security and app security. My account was hacked and it was MY FAULT the hacker was able to change the email address and approve the change -I never received an email stating someone changed the address, just a notification in the app which the hacker was able to then accept. I called customer service multiple times and they haven’t done anything about it. They tell me to open a new account…not thanks, I don’t want my credit card info stolen AGAIN.
