Read moreWe had a reservation for 6 pm. We were promptly seated at our requested table outside. Our server started off great, took our order and served us our drinks. We ordered a bottle of rose and 3 bottle of cava, along with a charcuterie board and a flatbread. As you can imagine, we were sitting there for a while. The hostess shows up while we are finishing the last bottle and lets us know we have exceeded our time. First I have heard off, as we were ordering drinks and food all along. By now we have run a bill of almost $500. Before we can finish our last drink, we were asked by the hostess to vacate the table. Note this was no more than 3 hours at the table. The place was packed by now and crowd was coming in looking for a place to hang. We promptly clear our check and obviously tip our server well. We chose to hang on there a little more, as the dj changed and vibe was more party and picking up. There were two bartenders serving the entire place, leading to line at the bar which was insane. I waited 30 min to get a drink at the bar, at which point i asked the server who had served us the entire evening (mind you, no work needed, we had only ordered bottles of sparkling) if she could go to the bar and get us a round of shots. She did not bat an eye before saying no. I expect a little more from someone who has (1)served and chatted with us in the evening (2)been tipped handsomely. I was overall just disappointed with the lack of attention to patrons and lack of customer obsession. The place gets busy in the summer and the crowd is expected. Why don’t they staff up to make things smoother?.Why is a city that only lives for the summer, not prepared for this? Hire more servers, hire more bartenders. If restaurants in Seattle don’t get better with service and staffing, I am afraid newer place will keep opening up and people will move. So far this place has a monopoly but I think more people are wanting better service, when they spend money. Learn from Bellevue, or even La Loba which is exceptional in staffing and service. Seattle and these places still act like a small town but with influx of tech and ai, that is no longer the case. They need to step up their game. These hotels need to hire more to allow it to be ok to charge La style 25 dollar for a drink. Look at all the reviews on how horrible the...
Read moreI recently had the misfortune of visiting Altitude Rooftop Bar, and my experience was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment we arrived, it became evident that transparency and fair treatment were not on their agenda.
First and foremost, the wait time at Altitude was outrageously deceptive. We were initially told that the wait would be around 30 minutes, which seemed reasonable. However, little did we know that we would end up waiting for a mind-boggling two hours! The management showed a complete lack of regard for our time and failed to provide any explanation or updates regarding the delay. It was an unprofessional and frustrating start to the evening.
To add insult to injury, the differential treatment we received was appalling. Despite witnessing over 10 other parties being escorted from the lobby to their tables, we were left to fend for ourselves. The blatant favoritism displayed towards other patrons was not only disheartening but also left us feeling undervalued as customers. This lack of consistency and fairness is simply unacceptable.
As if the lengthy wait and differential treatment weren't enough, we were subjected to an absurd musical chairs game with our table. Within a span of just 15 minutes, we were forced to change tables twice without any clear reason provided. It was a chaotic and disruptive experience that left us bewildered and frustrated. The staff's lack of communication and professionalism during this ordeal was truly disheartening.
Lastly, the behavior of the Altitude staff was nothing short of rude and arrogant. We were met with condescending attitudes and dismissive responses whenever we attempted to address our concerns. It was as if our dissatisfaction was inconsequential to them, further highlighting their lack of regard for customer satisfaction.
In conclusion, my visit to Altitude Rooftop Bar was an absolute disaster. The deceptive wait time, the blatant differential treatment, the table switching frenzy, and the rude and arrogant staff all combined to create an utterly unpleasant experience. I would strongly advise anyone considering a visit to Altitude to steer clear and find a more respectful and customer-oriented...
