This review is long, long overdue! My visit was a few months back.

I visited the Westlake Capellis and was extremely impressed. The shop was super clean and welcoming. I saw Kelly for my haircut. Kelly was kind and energetic, and was very professional during the entire course of the experience. I was offered a beer right away to enjoy during my cut, which was a great surprise! Kelly was super speedy, but attentive to the detail of the cut. She was able to hold a conversation while also holding her concentration. The straight razor neck shave was done perfect without a dull razor and no cuts. This was no joke, without a doubt, the best men's haircut I have ever received. After 30 years of hair cuts, I finally received a good (fantastic) haircut! I used to think of a haircut like the dentist, now I enjoy it! I will never return to to my old stomping grounds again! I recently came in for a taper fade, and I have to say it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a barbershop. First, the fade I received was completely uneven—the curve was not uniform at all, and it looked rushed and unprofessional. To make matters worse, after only about 3 minutes into the cut, the barber I was assigned, Max, refused to continue cutting my hair and handed me off to someone else without any explanation.

The second barber finished the job, but they clearly weren’t skilled enough to fix or complete the cut properly. The result was a mess, and I had to go elsewhere to get it fixed. I came in expecting a professional haircut and left feeling completely disappointed. Lisa is AMAZING. I always get my haircuts at Capelli's and everyone is great. This time, I had an appointment with Lisa and she was absolutely fantastic! She asked for my preferences, and gave me a better haircut than the picture I showed. She cut the sides perfectly and diligently. She then cut the front hair to a perfect length for it to be spiky enough and texturized it so it doesn't get heavy. This was the first ever time where I didn't have to request any minor changes. The texturizing really did the trick and my hair was standing without any product. After shampooing, she applied a really good holding product (I'll come back to buy it if the product holds the full day). Overall, this was the best professional haircut I've ever had....
