OK Hotel Apartments — Local services in Seattle

I'm a resident at OK Hotel. I thought it was a great place when I moved in. But recently there has been a few issues that I hope management would quickly address. First there is a lot of trash in and around the front entry door. Occasionally there are trash placed in the lobby too.

A serious issue is the constant hot water and heater shutoff, this isn't just a few hours. This weekend for example my unit was really cold that I couldn't sleep. Haven't been able to shower in 2 days because no hot water. This happened a couple weeks ago too. I wish management would address this issue. This is not really acceptable.

The biggest issue is safety. The front entry always has homeless and sketchy people hanging out trying to get in. Inside people leave trash in the lobby and staircase. No one seem to care. The new management doesn't do much to improve the situation. This building is full of thieves. Amazon packages are often stolen. The list goes on...management should step up to turn this place around.

Update: After a year living at OK Hotel, I didn't notice any improvement on some of the things I mentioned above. The lobby, elevator, common corridors, and stairways always have some kind of trash. People living here don't seem to take care that this is their home too. I see grocery bags, trash, food items left on the stairs. Management does not have anyone to clean the common areas.

Update. So I have been living here almost 1.5 years. It appears that this place is getting worse by the day. I'm hoping that management would take notice of the review and promptly address the issues. I continue to see a lot of trash in front of the entry door, food, clothes, tents, garbage are thrown everywhere. The lobby is not always clean either. The floor corridor has a lot of trash. There is no one cleaning the common areas. Frequently homeless people are sleeping inside and pooping or throwing up. There's no one cleaning up. I do hope that management quickly address...

I’ve been in my apartment for a year now and in the beginning I didn’t know much about the area, I was really worried after I moved in because we were going through management like crazy, it was filled with people who were coming in and out and seemed to feel like my “secure building” was not secure at all. And honestly would have gotten a 0 star if possible. Then we got a Manager Paula S. and assistant Zunhi that truly cares and takes pride in the way our building looks, cleanliness and security/safety. Anything I have asked or mentioned have been addressed. I’m glad I made the choice to stay. In just the past month alone we have gotten so many upgrades to our building to make sure we feel secure and safe! Not only that but putting rules and regulations in place and sticking to them. I love the city life and location is super convenient! I have recommended this apartment to a couple friends for I feel location, price and updates are fair. I've lived here for over half a decade and it's been a great place to grow roots in the city. I'm giving this place 5 stars because the current manager is awesome, although she's only on site two days a week now which is impacting our quality of life significantly. This place isn't for the faint of heart, the security cameras are questionable and it's not currently a safe place to receive packages however this building has an awesome mixed culture to it and I've seen major improvements recently to how neighbors communicate with each other making the art events and sense of belonging a major reason I stay. If things keep getting better all around this place may become the envy of other neighborhoods! I truly hope we survive the changes happening to...
