My testing experience at Gay City was entirely problem free. My tester, Luis, was extremely pleasant, easy, knowledgeable, and comforting. I had never been tested before this visit and I was afraid that I would be chastised for that, but Luis didn’t show the slightest amount of judgment. Rather, he was gracious and encouraging and thanked me for coming in. He clearly understood that I was nervous, as I imagine most are their first time, and took the time to clearly and throughly explain exactly what he was doing step by step without my even having asked him. I’ve never been more comfortable in a medical situation in my life and I am very grateful to have had my first HIV/STI testing here with Luis. Plus, I had a great time browsing the LGBTQ library in the front lobby once I was done with testing!!
