Please consider all this stuff before booking so you wont feel like you wasted your money like me…. First when u book online you have to pay 25$ for 45min session and you have to tip them. Later if you decide to order coffee at the store they will ask u again to tip… after you are all set, you can head in to the ONLY room that they already has 6 or 7 cats sleeping/hanging in there. So the next part will see if you are lucky or unlucky in your life…if you’re unlucky like me you will share a room(not really big) with 8-9 other people…..please keep in mind there was also several cats in the room already…. All the Cats have a little door to use to go to the other room… but if you are in there with 8 other people…and if all of u order coffee, you dont even have enough tables to put coffee on…..and not to much space to move around….. Also, f you have someone bring like a camera to do vlog and they just stick it to a specific “sleeping” cat and not moving at all….there might be a chance that you cannot pet or come close to any cats. I had problems breathing with too many people in a small space so we left early…and i also know if cats sniff me and turn away and nap I should leave them alone…like no petting and not disturb…but the whole time I was there, all the cats were in “do not disturb” mode and they were being disturbed perpetually….:( And if you’re lucky you don’t have to share the room with too many people. Anyway all the cats seem healthy and in average weight. After all It could be a place for u to check out adoptable cat and hang out with them before you bring them home. Just be aware its small and crowded at times. But if you are like me cannot have pet in the house message me I will message u a different place you can have one on one sessions with cats...
Read moreAfter following this company on TikTok for over a year, I finally was able to swing by to hopefully visit. And it lists on their website that their bathroom is “wheelchair accessible” but their entrance and the parking is not. So I thought that would have been an easy workaround with me being in a wheelchair and come to find out when I arrived at the location, the entrance to the basement business is in fact a very steep set of stairs that are impossible for a limited mobility user like myself to even attempt to get into. Upon further peering in through the windows of the business, the business is surprisingly small only offers a couple of tables and a very tiny cat room that is not also wheelchair accessible for being able to see the cats. Due to the configuration of the entrance, even a crutch or cane user might have some difficulty getting into this business. I believe that if the business were set up in a better location, more accessibility should be able to be accommodated because at this point where the business is located, there is no way to set up a portable wheelchair ramp for people to even be able to use and get into the business, let alone use their “wheelchair accessible bathroom“. If you are mobility, limited or are a wheelchair user unfortunately you will have to skip out on supporting this business and seeing their wonderful kitties. And I find that on their website them listing the bathroom as wheelchair accessible, but all other access, like the entrance not being accessible, is extremely deceptive on their part for the ratings that they get from Abel body users. And as much as I would like to support this business, unfortunately I cannot do to those...
Read moreAfter following the cafe on social media for some time, I was very excited to have the chance to visit. The venue is small but sweet, and the cats are adorable. However, the staff was not as welcoming as expected and there are MANY rules that govern the interaction and experience with the cats. Some are understandable for the safety and comfort of the cats, however others seem to arbitrary and unrealistic, especially when the goal of this venue is to encourage the public to interact with the cats. For example, one rule was that guests may not actually pick up any cat and cuddle them. Bear in mind, I am completely aware that this is not a traditional shelter setup, but this struck me as unnecessarily restrictive. Sure you can get drinks and snacks, but those are not allowed in the cat room so if you order, consume in a cramped cafe area, and make damn sure your hands are clean before you can actually pet a cat. Also, when considering adoption for the available cats (note that few of the cats are actually adoptable- most are permanent residents), I was informed that “it’s the cats’ choice when they are ready to leave the colony” so potential adoptions are seriously limited. For a business that claims to provide sanctuary for ADOPTABLE cats, this is contradictory and confusing to guests. Ultimately, I recommend that you spend your time and money elsewhere where you can actually enjoy your time and interact with cats with less restrictions. Enjoy this business on social media but support other animal services that can give you a better experience without a $25 per person...
