Oh my, where to start! I am obsessed with this place and have bought more plants in the past few weeks than I have in my entire pre-Tansy life of 38 years. Tansy is dangerously located across the street from my work building and down the street from the pot shop.;) The variety of plants, gifts, housewares, and greeting cards is sublime, and they even have options for your furry friends (my biggest purchase yet was an adorable cat bed)! Be sure to check out the upstairs as well, there are many more goodies up there if you can believe it. Take my money, I say! I met the owner, Shawna, who is an absolute delight and obviously has a great love for plants and all things creative. I found out they also do "urgent care" for struggling planties, and even offer a PLANT BOARDING option for those who travel! The prices are very reasonable compared to other local nurseries and gift shops. Kudos to the woman who helped me out last week with my ailing calathea. Tansy is currently rehabbing the poor guy at no cost. I will keep coming back...

Been passing by and window shopping this store for a few months. Had a chance to stop in and have a serious look.

Well worth it! A carnival of color and eye catching excitement to behold, for sure! From the mix of small hearts and mushrooms at the cashier to the incense holders, glass chandeliers and mobiles, day of the dead skulls, cat and dog bowls as well as toys for our 4 legged friends....are house plants. Adding a warm and comfortable feeling to the store, there is a great variety in assorted sizes along with fun planters to pot them into. There is also an upstairs area where you'll find kitchen and linen items, too. I cannot attest to the greatness of this particular area today, but I do plan to visit it next time. The Dexter Avenue location is easily accessible via Aurora Ave North or South bound, along with quick access from Fremont. Street parking, not sure if there is parking specifically for the building.
