UPDATE! February 2024. I have lived at One Lakefront for three and a half years now and continue to cherish this building. Management changed last summer and our amazing leasing agents I talked about in my first review have sadly moved on to other adventures. When this happens, I know that residents get a little nervous because you have no idea who is about to take over and what kind of people they are. And I am here to say that I am thrilled and lucked out yet AGAIN at One Lakefront. Lauren and Tess make my day everyday. They are beyond friendly, empathetic, genuine, and constantly make me laugh. They continue to help this place feel like a home and I don't know what could be better than that. It's the people who make a home over a place and I am so grateful to have these folks here. My dog immediately fell in love with them, too. And we all know that nothing is more trustworthy than the opinion of a doggo. The maintenance staff is so friendly, and Ikaika, Stacey, and Dan also indulge my dog's constant need to say hello and have been amazing fixers of all my apartment snafoos over the years. And I also just met the new staff member this week, Terrance, who is just as wonderful as everyone else. Most days I just go to the lobby to say hello and have a chat because these folks are incredible. I can't say enough good stuff about living here!
I first heard about One Lakefront from Cheri at Westlake Steps, another Holland property, next door. I was touring apartments with a friend and casually inquired about what I was looking for. She referred me to One Lakefront and while I didn't see what I was looking for on the website, I decided to contact the building anyway. Hailey got back to me right away and since that first contact, I swear I already was sold and felt like I was going to be moving. Hailey answered my many questions, responded to my emails lightning fast, and was just so patient with me. When I toured the building she was friendly, professional, and kind. I ended up signing a lease without even seeing the unit I was interested in as it was still occupied, but Hailey had sent over any and all photos that were available. That, plus the personal experience made One Lakefront an easy decision. I ended up having a family emergency and had to leave the state all of a sudden, making my move wonky from the get go. But, Hailey was again just so patient and so amazing! She helped me by sending over all the open parking spaces, helped me with renter's insurance, and you name it, she did it! Everyone who works here is professional and there's just this calming presence. Plus, the building is supremely clean and the staff really works hard here. And! I met Amy the manager yesterday and she's just the icing on the cake! Friendly, personable, funny, and warm. I really am so happy here and feel really fortunate to have made One Lakefront my new home. (And my pup...
Read moreI’ve been a resident at One Lakefront for almost two years now, and will sign on for at least another year (if not more, if life permits).
Of all the apartment complexes I’ve lived in, my experience at One Lakefront has been by far the best. When I was looking for a place to live I really wanted a property that provided the best “bang for your buck” in terms of unit quality and amenities, building amenities such as a gym and communal living spaces, location, secured parking, and overall community feel amidst astronomically high and rising rent prices in Seattle. As a native Seattleite who grew up by the water, a water-view was just about non-negotiable. One Lakefront has delivered on all of those wants and needs and so much more. The signing and move-in process was as seamless as a move can be, and management staff were very helpful with explaining everything I needed and offering advice for the process. Never have I have lived in a complex that has felt so much like home, being managed by a wonderful group of people who feel not only like friends but family. In my time here there has been a complete overturn of the leasing management staff, but I’ve felt fortunate with having only had positive experiences with both groups, which, from experience, is certainly NOT always the case. The current group of Lauren, Tess, Jon, Terrance, and the rest of building maintenance and support staff go above and beyond in making every resident (human and furry alike) feel welcome, cared for, comfortable, and truly “at home.” They very much have an open-door style of leadership and management, are reachable 24/7, and are prompt, professional, and personable. Regular emails are sent to all residents alerting us of any impending building maintenance and updates, events going on, addressing residents’ concerns, and necessary reminders of building policies, communication that very much makes you feel like you are being heard and respected. Maintenance requests are responded to immediately and addressed ASAP, usually within a few business days if not sooner. They do a stellar job at providing and maintaining a clean, beautiful, safe, and friendly property in the heart of SLU. Additionally, management goes to great efforts at hosting community events rather frequently at the property such as cocktail and “paw-tail” hours and holiday parties, which only further emphasizes the resident experience-focused philosophy of One Lakefront. This friendliness and personability very much trickles down into the residents the property attracts and retains, and my dog, I, and my guests have made fast friends and acquaintances with our neighbors as well.
We love One Lakefront and owe so much to them for all they’ve done and do for us. It will be a sad day whenever we have to leave, and I’m grateful for holding...

Update: Updated from 5 stars to 1 star. The old management team (Hailey, Amy, Galfato, Cheri) were amazing. However, the new management team that started Oct 2023 made things going down the hill. Their service attitude is not genuine anymore - They treat you as cash cow and not residents/neighbors/customers. For example, (1) They overcharge for move-out cleaning fee even if your apartment is clean. They charged you $270 - $400, which is disproportionate. (2) Call box and refrigerator have been broken for almost a year, and they don't fix it at all. (3) They charge you $250 for a one-time lockout. The offsite emergency team never gave you ETA or any way to track who would come, so you can only wait in the rain or cold weather, not knowing when you can be saved. (4) They don't remember your names and apartment number anymore.
2nd update: After they saw my updated review, they emailed me and asked me to “reconsider my review”, which makes me feel a bit threatened and disrespected because all I want is that problems can be solved promptly. I also have recommended a lot of friends to tour One Lakefront in the past 2 years.
——— Old post: I love living at One Lakefront! The area is very safe and quiet. The location is very convenient - 20 mins walk to Amazon campus and quick Uber to everywhere, including Fremont, Upper Queen’s Trader Joe’s, International District, Green Lake. The management team is the most professional and passionate I have ever seen. They also live in the building, so they genuinely care. I have lake view in my unit. The rooftop and board room is very nice. We even have free kayak and paddle board . The only downside is that there’s no in-unit AC but it’s an easy fix with a...
