This is, in my opinion and experience, the absolute best place to get lunch on the west side of Lake Union. I love this place and try to visit at least once a week. Everyone here is exceptionally kind, and a lot of love and enthusiasm goes into their food. The portions are always generous, prices are competitively low for the area, and the space itself is very clean and welcoming.
The lamb shawarma is so divine that it sells out regularly: I've had it in sandwich, plate, and (Holy Land) pizza form and I enjoy them all. I highly recommend their gyro as well: they use a really pleasant umami-bomb stewed tomato sauce for their gyro sandwich that makes it unique compared to your run of the mill gyro. Most everything comes loaded with tons of fresh vegetables: I haven't even tried any of their salads since they are so generous with vegetable portions overall.
As a side note, if you are eating in or picking up, I would definitely suggest adding on an order of samosas: they are very delicious, crispy, and...
Read moreI have gone to Gyro & More several times and it doesn’t disappoint. I have ordered the Greek Salad, Greek Fries and the Chicken Shawarma. All the items are tasty and really fresh too!
I’m super particular about the consistency of chicken I eat and the shawarma was so perfect. Moist but not chewy, tasty and spiced well. They also have super yummy desserts like their baclava 🤤!! I legit forget to breathe when I eat them... soo good.
Lastly and perhaps most importantly the owners/operators are really kind and generous. I could imagine opening an eatery like this anytime would be a challenge, and on top of a pandemic even moreso. As a nearby essential employee I still go into the office and have easy access to this delish lunch, but don’t let not being in office stop you from ordering. Certainly worth the walk or drive from home to get some bomb Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food for...
Read moreI've walked by this place numerous times and it always looked empty and maybe closed for the day. I finally decided to give it a try. The owner was nice enough. He was happy to explain the unique cooking method utilized which was neat. There was a female who came in after I did and had a small order, so was finished before me, the gentleman behind the counter the goes on to comment how lucky someone must be to get with that girl and "look at her...etc", so there's that. Anyway, the food was overly seasoned and sauced(my wife and I both like sauce but this was TOO much) I want my food to taste like the food, not the sauce and also had a spicey element that just didn't go with the food, I've never had a spicy gyro and there's a reason for that. Overall it's not terrible food but kind of an objectifying environment, honestly better food options in the...
