My husband and I stumbled upon Sal Y Limón, a gourmet Mexican restaurant, while looking for a pre-concert dinner spot near Climate Pledge Arena, and boy, are we glad we did! From the moment we walked in, the energy of this place was infectious. Despite arriving without a reservation on a busy Saturday evening, we were promptly seated upstairs. The ambiance was lively yet cozy, perfect for gearing up before a concert. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout our visit. To kick things off, we ordered margaritas—a Top Shelf for me and a Carnaval for my husband. Both were expertly crafted and packed a flavorful punch that set the tone for the evening. Before our appetizers arrived, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary mini bean tostada, which was a delicious teaser of what was to come. For starters, we dug into the Chips Frescos with guacamole and a trio of salsas, each bursting with fresh flavors that complemented the crispy chips perfectly. When it came to the main course, I opted for the Mole, and let me tell you, it was a revelation. The tender boneless chicken cooked to perfection in a clay pot with chocolate and an array of spices created a mole sauce that was simply divine. Served alongside fresh slices of green apples, tasty rice, and black beans, every bite was a symphony of flavors. My husband went for the Pollo con Rajas—a dish of tender chicken breast cooked in a creamy chipotle salsa with poblano peppers and mushrooms. He couldn't stop raving about how perfectly sweet and spicy the flavors were, especially when paired with the fluffy white rice and hearty black beans. To top it all off, the handmade tortillas that accompanied our meals were out of this world—soft, warm, and absolutely addictive. Throughout our meal, the service remained top-notch. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations, making us feel like honored guests. In summary, Sal Y Limón exceeded our expectations in every way possible. From the delicious food and exceptional drinks to the warm hospitality and vibrant atmosphere, this restaurant is a gem we'll be sure to revisit whenever we're in the area. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience in Seattle, look no further than Sal Y Limón - it's a true...
Read moreIf I could put a negative starting for service I would. Let me start by saying, my family and friends went to dine here to celebrate a birthday. It was 6pm on a Sunday and it was super convenient because it’s near our house. Upon entry to the restaurant we notice the space was fairly vacant. Lots of seating available so we asked we could sit in a booth corner unit; so that the three of us could sit in the booth together. We were told it was held for bigger parties. No big deal so we say in a four top with chairs and bench. The waitress was rude and not very insightful about the menu. When asked what she likes, she gave zero interest and provided nothing as a recommendation. So we just ordered what we thought we would like and drinks to celebrate. Mid way through our meal they sat another 3 person group at the booth we originally requested. So I guess we weren’t good enough for a booth. Then it’s time for dessert and the waitress begins telling us that we need to hurry up and order because they are closing the kitchen “at 7pm”. The bill comes and we pay plus offer a 25% tip. The whole dollar amount came to $200 flat. You won’t believe it, I check my credit card and she fraudulently added $45 more dollars, giving herself an 85% tip. I proceed to call the restaurant manager and he says he will investigate. 2 days later I get a call back and they say we they will refund the full tip amount. They did realize that she created fraud, but since it was a first offense they would let her remain working. Not to mention they didn’t try to make me feel better by comping my entire bill. Bye I will never ever come back, and I’ll be sure to tell everyone about this poorly operated...
Read moreThis is depressing because my hotel is connected to this restaurant. I personally recommend people to this place all day long and will not be doing so anymore. My girlfriend and I came in for dinner we were seated the waiter really the only thing that made this a bad experience. Greeted us gave us menus and then informed us he was going to give us a gift as a thank you for stopping in. We said wow thank you then he left us alone for about 10 minutes. We can came back around he took our drink order left came back about ten minutes later with the drinks and took our order. As we waited for our food we finished our drinks and we were chatting when he came by and asked if I wanted another drink I told him I thought the drink wasn't very strong and asked him if he could make it stronger he laughed and said yeah you will have to pay more. I told him no problem but used this moment to also mention that I would pay whatever extra or he could just forget about the gift he offered us originally that never came and we could call it even. The waiter rolled his eyes and said oh you never got the gift a toastada with beans (appetizer) I said no we never did which wouldn't have been a big deal aside from the fact that he made it so when we came in.... Anyways this is way too much for a review. Long story short the food is great here and most of the employees are on their a game and the place the interior style architecture is amazing. I'm just a bellman next door and I was really unimpressed with the waiter I had considering all the people from our hotel I sent there thinking they would get better service. Dos chamucos across the street...
