The Wilde Haven Spa — Local services in Sedona

Not impressed at all. So first off I received this as a gift and very expensive yes, the locker rooms are basically the same as they were with the other spa , older super tiny no room for privacy at all . A group of must been 15 girls checked in for their spa time and just overtook the entire locker room and we’re standing all around and just did not give me any room to get changed. I had to leave so I could wait for them to stop talking and chitchatting in there and give me space to change But the best part yet of all the fire alarm went off during my massage so I had to get up and get dressed, and as I am completely dressed and ready to walk out, my masseuse says that it was a false alarm and I can get back on the table, so my remaining minutes were disrupted. The masseuse mentioned that this has happened before so my massage minutes were disrupted and I did not get them back And the rest of the massage was uncomfortable as it was a loud alarm and completely took me out of relaxation mode. After my massage I wanted to go out to the spa area but then again filled with a bunch of chatty girls taking over the whole area, so I had no room to enjoy myself at the spa in quiet . No apologies by the front desk when I walked out I said thank you and she didn’t even look up or say anything not going back. Sorry definitely not a luxurious spa experience kind of felt annoyed when I left. Oh, and one more thing, they made me fill out this health and paperwork, but it seemed like the masseuse didn’t even read it because he was asking me if he could do those things which I clearly said no to on the form...

I have to give this place a 2 because I have had significantly better treatments at luxury spas for 1/4 of the price. Considering how much my friends and I spent, we were expecting more. The spa was smaller than I was anticipating, which is fine, and makes it intimate, but the spa locker rooms are a little older and outdated. The front desk people were incredibly kind, and I’m glad for that. I received a sun and moon facial and a lot of it felt rushed and a bit sloppy. Typically, when I get facials, the technician gently massages the serums and products into your face for deeper penetration, whereas the technician I had, it felt as though they’d slap it on and rub the products around real fast, making the experience sub par. My friend who got a massage, had a technician with a bad attitude sighing and rolling her eyes when calling my friends name, and our treatments didn’t last the allotted time they were supposed to last. One of our friends did have an immaculate experience, so I’m happy for her, but that consistency needs to be immaculate throughout and not dependent on which technician you’re paired with. The Wilde Haven Spa in person is not as nice as they make it sound and appear on their website. Definitely felt the bait and switch. The locker rooms, showers, steam room and hot tubs are incredibly small, look older and worn. Lots of hard water stains. The service providers were not very confident in providing a relatively new service on the menu we received- the Bright Angel deep tissue massage. They shouldn't put things on the menu they don't have expertise in providing. My friend rated her massage a 4 out of 10 and mine was a 6 out of 10 in experience. For the cost of their services they should be confident and provide 10 of 10 service. They charge a 22% gratuity, which is somewhat reasonable, but they charge gratuity even for add-on products also which is unacceptable. For the upcharged prices, the additional amenities and exoerience are not up to standard. I would choose a different spa next...
