I'm warning others to hopefully not make the mistake I did - I paid three months of a membership even though I went there for less than a month. I contacted them way after the fact because I didn't notice the additional charges and they refused to refund any of it, saying that legally they did not have to because I signed the paperwork that says that they charge you a first and last month rent, as well as a second month rent. It so happens that I just went for one month, and ended up paying three months - I paid the first month (plus a 20 dollar key card and 10 processing fee). Then I paid the second month, because I didn't cancel it before the second month started. Then I paid an additional "last month" fee because I "didn't give them a 30 days warning". The manager Dan insisted this was totally fair. I dont think it's fair to take money from people just because they aren't timely at canceling their membership. I asked Dan if they would consider at least refunding the "last month" fee since it was the same month as my "second month" and he sweetly told me he would ask the person in charge. Then I got an email that was longer than this review basically saying just that no, it was in the fine print. So this is a warning to others that they will gladly charge you three months fees even if you are only there for less than one month because they can legally get away with it. He absolutely did not care at all. So if you think that is totally fair then maybe these are your people. I will not sign up for another gym membership because I think they use this "last month" rent concept to take money from people. I was taking up no space there since I wasn't even there so they lost nothing and I just accidentally didn't catch the credit card charge. So just fyi for anyone who isn't good at catching things like this like I am, I would stay away from this place because they are unforgiving and gladly take as much money as they can legally get away with. I have no complaints against the gym itself the equipment was fine. But if you want to give your money away I recommend the thift store a couple doors down that gives money to the local...
Read moreSnap Fitness has been my gym of choice in the Verde Valley for close to 20 years. I've never felt even an inkling to change or try out other clubs and the reason is simple. They care. SNAP has wonderful fitness professionals that are kind, knowledgeable and heart centered. They truly care about where you are with your fitness goals and they have the knowledge, discipline and goodwill to get you where you need to be. The facilities are consistently clean and the equipment is always well maintained. They seem to constantly be innovating and I love all the amenities they've added like red light treatments and all the massage chairs. My home SNAP is West Sedona and Lacy as manager has done a fantastic job creating and overseeing the talented team. Karl is an amazing group facilitator and instructor and his enthusiasm and spirit are so appreciated! Eden, Mike, Destin are all excellent! There is a deep pool of knowledge among the varied staff members. I also have to mention the convenience of 24-hour access. It's a great feeling of security to know that no matter what life throws my way my favorite gym and its team of friendly professionals are just a mile down the road 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Thank you Snap Fitness! Can't imagine life...
Read moreI'm leaving this anonymous review because I hope other people will learn from my mistake. The gym itself was fine. The problem was when I cancelled my membership they continued to charge me. They told me that when I signed up I signed permission to charge me for another month if I didn't give them thirty days notice. I think I notified them a few days after that 30 day window closed, probably the office was closed when I tried to cancel it, or maybe I made a mistake. I asked them if they could refund any of it and they said no. In total I paid something like three hundred dollars for attending just one month. I would recommend do not sign up here because they have no guilt about taking your money, they will just say "well you signed this paper so we have the right". I feel ripped off for paying for an entire month I wasn't even there. I would go somewhere else where the managers are more forgiving. I don't know why they need thirty days notice, I guess they just have that policy because they can get away with it and it makes...
