A Hearty Meal at Fiesta Mexicana Sedona
Location: 1950 AZ-89A, Sedona
Looking for a satisfying Mexican meal in Sedona? Look no further than Fiesta Mexicana Sedona. This restaurant promises generous portions and flavorful drinks, but my recent experience left me with mixed feelings.
Upon entering Fiesta Mexicana, I was greeted by a vibrant atmosphere and the enticing aroma of Mexican spices. The menu offered a variety of classic dishes, and I eagerly settled on a selection of favorites. However, I quickly noticed that the prices were on the higher side, typical of the tourist-heavy area of Sedona.
Although I was disappointed to find only refried beans on the menu, the dishes themselves were hearty and filling. The flavors were satisfactory, but nothing particularly stood out. Despite the sizable servings, I couldn't shake the feeling that the prices were inflated to cater to tourists.
The service, unfortunately, was a low point of the experience. Despite the slow pace, the staff seemed overwhelmed and inattentive. It was disappointing to receive subpar service, especially considering the steep tab.
In summary, Fiesta Mexicana Sedona offers a decent option for those craving Mexican cuisine in Sedona. While the portions are generous and the drinks enjoyable, the touristy prices and slow service detract from the overall experience. Proceed with caution, and be prepared for a meal that may leave you with...
Read moreSuper disappointing. We went here because it was near our hotel and had good reviews, but would absolutely NOT go back. The service was really bad - when we got there, two servers argued in front of us over which of them had to take us to their section. When we asked about drink prices (which are not on the menu), she seemed very annoyed. Things were infrequently cleared from the table and no one asked us at any point how our food was. To the food itself - two of us shared the fajita platter for two and one person got a chicken dish. The fajitas were quite good and definitely the highlight of the meal. They came with a generous portion of guac and sour cream, though oddly only 2 small tortillas each. The chicken dish was, somehow despite being smothered in a sauce, extremely dry and chewy. We ordered the churros for dessert based on other positive reviews and they were legitimately AWFUL. could not take more than one bite - soggy and room temperature and with a fake-tasting filling. Between the churros and the chicken it seems clear that the restaurant pre-cooks a lot of their food and then just heats it up. There are definitely better options for Mexican food in Sedona - find...
Read moreMy fiancé and I ate here and didn’t have a good experience. Initially when walking in we waited at the host table to be seated for about five minutes. Several employees walked past without greeting or acknowledging us. Once seated we waited for over 10 minutes for our server, no apology for the wait mind you. We got our chips and salsa, and the salsa tasted really weird. I don’t think it was stored correctly and something was fermenting. I got the enchiladas de mole, the mole sauce was room temperature and off putting. The beans had a really weird taste to them and the cole slaw was also not very appetizing. Unfortunately the only thing I ate on the plate was the rice. To make things worse, the server never checked on us the entire time so I wasn’t able to get my food warmed up. I waited and waited for the server to come get my card to run so I could leave. Once he finally came to get my card, I waited ANOTHER 10 minutes for him to return my card. The restaurant was not busy at all, it seemed like nobody working cared about giving the customers a good service. There was also food in between the pages of the menu. I will never be back and neither...
