I love AARONS, but since a certain staff member has joined the team, he has made most of my experiences unpleasant, and at times, has made me want to switch companies all together. I have leased with AARONS for years, and have ended up purchasing those items. Today, I walked in looking to lease a 65 inch tv. There was a huge sign on the door that said “start any new lease agreement for $1.” I was greeted with a sarcastic tone, and went it came time for payment, I was prepared to pay the $1 that I believed would be the total. The staff member than proceeds to say that I couldn’t get it for $1 because I didn’t have any $1 credits. I’ve never heard of such before. I was willing to pay the month up front until the team member embarrasses me in front of the whole store and the 6 people waiting behind me. So much so that the woman behind me was questioning all my purchases with an irritable tone. To make matters worse, I told him I would do it online since I knew it would be honored and he proceeds to tell me, he wouldn’t honor the lease when it came through the computer. I have never been so embarrassed in my life by any establishment. If any more instances occur, I’ll have no other option but to take my business else where. There are way too many other competitors out in the industry that I know will treat me with common courtesy and kindness. I work too hard for my money. Read moreI started out buying a bedroom suit from there and the experience with Don was good. I had no issues so I decided to go back and purchase a living room furniture 4 months later . Riley was the sales associate. He was great, very nice very friendly helped me out choosing my furniture . But a week later on delivery day I found out that I was not gonna be able to make the two payments up front that they wanted. I offered to make a weekly payment and then the following week make another weekly payment and then just follow weekly payments from there, Riley told me he didn’t think they’d be able to do that and he was gonna check with his store manager, which was Jay. Sadly, the experience with Jay Was not good,! He was not very friendly, He treated me like I was stupid, And literally said I don’t wanna bring the furniture and have to come back and pick it up next week Because you can’t afford it and then said well, I don’t think you even wanted the furniture to begin with and when I questioned him saying that he denied saying that. and then told me when I proceeded to tell him just to cancel the sale that he was willing to do no money down delivery but at that point I was done . ..His attitude was very awful and very unprofessional, and I decided to cancel my sale Of the living room suit and I will be going elsewhere very disappointed in this store . Read moreTo all Consumers here's my true story, The day I was scheduled to make a payment on a TV I was renting to own from them and a Queen Size bed I went in and made a payment with cash and I asked the man behind the desk to cancel my Autopay because I was making my payment in cash and he told me he did. No he did not because they took two payments from me one in cash and the other from my account and so I had to get help to clean up Aaron's mistake. Next story of truth Same Queen bed that is now purchased. Me and my Mother found several nests of Stink Bugs on the bottom of my Box Springs that certainly didn't come from my home because it's a new clean home. Me and my Mother had to clean up the infestation. My advice to anyone wanting to purchase any items please go to a retail store. Save your money and purchase it out right pay whatever the sales price is and please avoid these Rent To Own places. They are obviously not thinking about cleanliness and they are definitely not believing in the old sales marketing rule where it states, "The Customer is always right."
