Came here last night looking for some new toys for a fun night. This was our first time here, it was quiet about an hour before closing. There was one other customer when we came in. Eventually we were the only 2 browsing, we found what we wanted then went to check out. There were 2 people working & were nice but let us know that they wouldn’t be able to check us out because the customer before us was in the middle of a transaction, didn’t have enough money, so he went to get more. This customer had been gone for at least 15min before we came up to the register. The workers apologized, said it shouldn’t be too much longer, then promoted us to continue shopping until this gentleman came back. We browse a bit more for about 10 more minutes & still nothing. We go back up, ask if he had an ETA? They said no, but said because he was a regular there was nothing they could do. Sorry, I don’t care if this customer is a regular, if they don’t have enough money for their purchase, set it aside until they do & help the next customer. The workers clearly didn’t know when he was coming back & it just felt unprofessional & uncomfortable. At checkout, the employee emphasized “no returns or exchanges” but never informed me that I was buying just a part, not the full device. When I realized my mistake, I returned the very next day with the unopened item and receipt to exchange the unopened item or get a store credit, but the staff refused to help. I had to ask the support email because she didn’t want to provide that either.
As someone who’s worked in customer service for over a decade, I was shocked at how rigid and dismissive the response was. Mistakes happen, and good businesses handle them with understanding — Dusty’s clearly doesn’t. I left feeling embarrassed and completely dissatisfied. Staff (I can't remember who but they were both female, one whose name starts with M) were able to answer all my questions and give me helpful tips.
It may look like a small store but they have a lot of products! The location is kind of funny. Would never have thought I'd find a sex shop in strip with totally unrelated stores. Don't let that deter you tho!
