Hi there, I recently purchased an I phone 8 plus and an I phone 11 online from the Verizon wireless website. I tried my best to use the Verizon transfer app to set up my new phone ( upgrading from the I phone 5s) big step. I made some errors, and also error in setting up the I phone 8. I went into my local Verizon authorized dealer with both phones for help. Victra, Mount Airy Rd Shrewsbury PA. I met Anthony G, I believe is store manager. He was fantastic. He was professional and patient, and kind. Very knowledgeable, and knew exactly what to do, and both phones were good to go in no time. He answered all my questions. I then needed to buy a case for one of the phones. He helped me with the selection of a case, and I also got the glass screen protector. Anthony installed the screen protector and put on the case. Read moreUse another store. I bought a phone that they tried to sell me for $299 with my upgrade. It was on the Verizon wireless Website for $49. I had to explain this to them. They would have charged me $250 more for the phone. I did get the phone for $109 with a $50 rebate. The other phone I was interested in they said cost $299 with my upgrade. Again online store price was $99.99. $200 more than advertised.
I bought the lifetime screen protector. Being distracted I didn't realize they charged my $24.99. Online retail is $19.99 on sale for $9.99. Then charge an additional $20 setup fee and didn't set it up. They activated it and loaded my contacts which every store does for free.
I feel really ripped off. I realize paying a little more for the service and convenience but they past those thresholds by far. Shame on me for not walking out. Got caught up...
Read moreOne star is one too many. Absolute worst customer service. The sales rep attempted to have me pay off a non working phone that, as it turns out, was clearly under warranty. She then proposed that I also buy a new phone and insinuated that my problem was that the phone I had was refurbished. She was rude and condescending once it was determined that no commission was to be made. It should be noted that a trainee was working with her indicating a corporate culture of high pressure and unethical sales. It should also be noted that VERIZON customet service was VERY RESPONSIVE! Call them first, don't waste time...
