First of all the lady doing the doors and floors was doing an amazing job, she definitely deserves a raise and praise. Prices are always high and selection is mediocre seemingly forcing people to depend on Kohl's rewards program to get a standard price available at other stores. They seem to focus on a few select brands and either have very few options, or go overboard and don't have popular sizes on hand. The maze to get to the check out is just absurd, they should consider that the last thing people want to do is navigate a maze after shopping.
We had purchased a blender combo to use up some points and a gift card, it was very hard to unscrew the pitcher from bottom seal, and impossible to unscrew the food processor from its bottom seal. I called to speak with a manager to speak about this issue right out of the box and to see if there was one in stock to exchange, there was two available and she said she would hold one. We arrived about 6 hours later and there was 3 ladies working in the register area yet only one was actually helping people, about 5 min later one lady decided to help and we informed.her that the manager set aside a blender combo for us to do an exchange. This combo she brought out to us had been previously opened and or used, the box was clearly opened and re-taped. This was unacceptable! She offered for us to download the Kohl's app and place an order for one on there and we would have to pay shipping and wait for one because they sold the other one(obviously nobody wanted this open box one because it was there when we purchased ours). So we got our refund and went to another store and upgraded to a better brand and better quality.
We will be minimal shoppers at Kohl's, if ever again. This is only my experience dont base your entire decision off what I say take a chance and check things out for yourself, maybe you'll have a different experience. I thing we can all agree things have been plummeted in service...
Read moreI go to this store ever time I'm in Sioux City. I regret taking off 1 star. It's not because of the fault of the location - it's because I feel the Kohls Cash is very misleading. I did a tin of purchasing on Black Friday thinking I was getting a deal with $185 in Kohl's cash. Well you can't use it on several items, you don't get the sales price if you use it ~ instead it deducts the cash back 1st from the full price then what's left it gives you a discount. I put together an Excel spreadsheet just to see what the difference would be by paying with my own cash + getting a discount vs the use of Kohl's Cash. I was shocked to see there was not much of a difference. So that's when I learned don't worry if it's on sale or reg price because essentially you will pay the full price if you use Kohl's cash. Not to mention and yes it makes sense you do not earn Kohl's Cash on purchases when you use Kohl's cash. 2 months after submitting Black Friday rebates I am still waiting for them to show up. It's been 8 wks, maybe they are just a 10 wk turn around? The staff here are very nice and the managers I have dealt with are also nice. If you need to return it has never been a hassle. I do recommend this store as they have a great selection of many various items as well as the quality of most things are great as well. So I apologize I had to deduct a star to the location as it would have been 5. I would give it a 2 for the Corporate Policies but that's not fair to the store. Google reviews are about the whole experience and I avidly learn the shopping secrets, deals, where to and not to go, etc from other reviewers. Read moreI have been a long time customer of Kohls but their buyers and/or managers are out of touch with how customers feel about their product selection & there is no clear way to communicate to corporate. I shop Kohls in Sioux City Iowa, Delavan Wisconsin and many other locations when traveling and shop there less & less. Their product selection is lower quality than it used to be (for example Vera Wang tops, which shrink like crazy when washed & only last one season if that). Their stores have become messy & unorganized, probably due to lack of staff to maintain them. Their home decor department which has become one of the messiest, has items thrown about & not displayed so that half the time the stuff is damaged. The prices have become obscene in some departments- stop the cycle of high ticket prices to rationalize the coupons you issue & instead lower your prices to a reasonable ticket & people would take you seriously. Stop buying from China & other places where the quality is horrible, start hiring buyers who buy merchandise for all ages & nationalities. Sell less but better quality products at reasonable prices.
