Zeke’s Village Market — Local services in Sister Bay

What an incredible find.

My wife I stumbled into Zeke’s during a Wednesday concert series in the park along the waterfront. The storefront is in the base of a condo building and a bit hidden — but well worth your visit.

The gentleman who owns the store is incredibly helpful and we ended up chatting for thirty minutes about his history, the store, local recommendations, and the unique merchandise he sells.

The latter is what separates this from other markets in the area. Sure, you can grab sundries and provisions, but his attention to detail with sunglasses (Goodr!) and local artisan creations.

What also makes this store special is the apparel selections. They are not just the same old cheap t-shirts and sweatshirts you see at the other tourist-y shops. These are made by a couple in Milwaukee and feature clever sayings like “Sis Bay” and my wife’s favorite, “Door Co”

He was out of the size she wanted but offered to ship it to us out of state.

We also loved the store was named after the owner’s three-year-old Golden Retriever.

All in all, find yourself here if you are in Sis Bay. They are open from Memorial Day...

Looks like an interesting store but I'll likely never purchase anything there. The owner seems very unfriendly. Was eating ice cream on the unmarked "stores chairs" prior to entering. The owner made a point to call this out. I would suggest either he mark them or wait to see what potential customers might do before accosting them. He just might be talking to locals who spend a lot of money on the door...
