Bluewater Laundromat — Local services in South Padre Island

I had a wonderful experience Saturday besides a machine not working. I switched washers and left a voicemail. Tuesday I decided to come in because I hadn't received a phone call from the business. Lori was here and kept telling me the mistake was "human error". I have a video on my phone of me doing the same exact thing she showed me and the washer still didn't work. She told me I could leave a number and she would call me back if the owner called her back, but that he doesn't refund for "human error". Then as I was waiting for her to finish folding her "clothes" to get me a pen so I could write my number down like she asked, she started walking towards me, yelling at me. Telling me she would just refund me the money out of her check. That she would pay for my human error. When I asked to speak to someone higher than her, she commented I'm the manager and the owner doesn't talk to customers. His brother is the mayor here and he doesn't have time for customers. When I asked her again about leaving a voicemail and who checks them, she says the owner does, but I never received a cell back 4 days after leaving a voicemail.

EXTREMELY RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE. What would have been a great customer coming in every week, has now been turned away because I will not be treated as if I've done something wrong. Then yelled at and treated that way.

We travel alot all over the country. So I have been to LOTS of laundrymats. Never ever have I been treated the way I was today. Never.

I feel as if these things are being done behind the owners back, and that he should be informed about what kind of people are running his business and how they are portraying him as the owner as well.

The place is nice and very well taken care of if you can get past Lori, the rude manager that works this laundromat everyday!!!!!

I would NOT recommend anyone going here unless it's absolutely the last possible option...

I visited Blue Water Laundromat yesterday and was really impressed with the place. The outside of the building looks modern and clean, with fresh paint and tinted windows to help with the sun. The parking lot is a bit small, with only about seven stalls, but I had no trouble finding a spot.

Inside, the laundromat was also very clean, and there was an attendant on duty who was busy working on the machines and helping customers with detergent and other supplies. I did notice that quite a few machines were out of order, but since the place wasn't busy, there were still plenty of machines available.

I had a large load of clothes and a big blanket to wash. I used two of the smaller washing machines, which are labeled as three-load machines and cost $6 each. I probably could have fit everything into one, but I decided to use two just to make sure everything got clean. I also used a five-load washer for the blanket that cost $10. Both machines claimed to have a 23-minute cycle, and they worked perfectly.

For drying, I used the large dryers at the back. It was $2.50 for 45 minutes and my clothes came out clean and smelling great. I felt safe leaving my laundry there while it washed as the place has 24-hour surveillance. The laundromat is open 24 hours, but the attendant hours might vary.

The only downside is that it’s a bit on the pricey side compared to other laundromats in the area, but the cleanliness, fast internet, helpful attendant, and overall experience made it worth it. I’ll definitely be coming back.

Dirty, smelly, and steals your money. Let me start by saying the general building is clean, but the machines are filthy. I came here to do 1 load of laundry and was met with a $10 charge just to wash! Then to dry my laundry 50% of the dryers were “out of order” and 2 dryers I tried just took my coins and wouldn’t start OR return my change. So I asked the attendant for help, their response was “there’s no clothes in that dryer” and walked away without acknowledging me still speaking to her trying to explain I’ve tried 2 dryers that took my money and never did anything… i need to get my clothes in the dryer as im on a time restriction. So I try a 3rd dryer and finally got it to work! After paying for a dryer 3 times…. The machines are disgusting yet they claim “cleanliness is a top priority” very disappointed in the customer service and state...
