I was so excited to try a SmallCake! I was visiting family in Spartanburg and heard how great they were. I called two separate times to find out the available flavors and the young lady that answered the phone was so informative and friendly. When we arrived the next morning, we felt like we were intruding on this other staff person's time. We had to call out, hello, to the kitchen for her to come wait on us. When she did come, we greeted her not the other way around. She did not offer any explanations about the flavors as we clumsily figured out what we wanted. When she rang us up, I realized that it would cost the same amount to get a few more cupcakes to make a full dozen. The waiter should have informed us of that. Before I could get my wallet back into my purse after paying, the waitress went back into the kitchen without a word. My husband called out, Thank you, as we left. She responded from the kitchen.

The cupcakes were all delicious! I didn't care for the pink frosting, but that did not put a damper on my pastry experience. The lemon was just subtle enough in the lemon drop; yum! Cookies & cream, peanut butter, wedding cake, coconut, fudge, etc...all...

I have been here a few times so I’m going to leave 5 stars since I have met the owners who are very nice and have purchased cupcakes and ice cream before. Everything is always good! I was really looking forward to a Cupcake. Today I attempted to come here. I traveled all the way from Greenville. I drove around for almost 30 minutes, and could not find a parking spot. I have an injury to my ankle, however I do not have a handicap placard (which by the way those spots are far away too) so I did not want to walk nearly a mile to the store. I finally said forget it, and drove home. I wish you all would move somewhere else. This is a bad location. Unless there is a major event going on downtown where there is a lot of foot traffic you will miss out on customers who have traveled there and are unable to find parking. I wish you all would move somewhere along Pine St near Wades, Main St, Hillcest, somewhere close to Spartanburg High or somewhere near Westgate where there is parking in a wide open shopping center and where there is a heavy flow of customers all day. This was so inconvenient today. Oh well, I will try again...

Went here yesterday as an after dinner treat because I was super interested in trying the smash cake.

Pros: The staff gushes with kindness. They made sure we were greeted when we entered and thanked when we left. We were offered samples and not rushed to order which I love.

Cons: The “smash cake” is essentially 1 cupcake cut in half with 2 scoops of ice cream in the middle. It was NINE dollars and some change... NINE! For ONE cupcake and TWO scoops of ice cream. That is simply outrageous.

The food itself: It was good (We had a mint chocolate chip cupcake and chocolate / mint chocolate chip ice cream.) The frosting was more of a super sugary marshmallow like taste and texture which is a little too much for me, but my husband liked it. It just wasn’t the best cupcake or the best ice cream I’ve ever had, if it was I would say it’s worth the price but it’s just mediocre and should honestly have mediocre prices.

I’m only giving 3 stars because the staff was so nice.

I’m glad we tried it to say we have but unless the prices drop we won’t be back, it’s just...

Cute little cupcake shop. The cupcakes look amazing, but they were out of all but two of their ice cream flavors. I have a gluten intolerance and I can’t eat the cupcakes, but wanted to try the ice cream 🍨. It would warm my heart if some of these bakeries would start thinking of us lowly gluten-free foodies. I mean there’s a cupcake for dogs there...what about us?! 😢 Just beware of cross contamination. We gluten-free foodies want some cupcakes too but not at the cost of being in the bathroom for a day! We did take some cupcakes home for the family though! They loved them!
