Was wrongfully accused of stealing here today by an employee named Carissa or something along those lines. I have never liked coming in here. My mother wanted to go in and look around. She was about to check out, and I had a cart with nothing but my small insulated cooler bag I brought in so it wouldn't have to be in the car. Which remained in the cart and wasn't even accessed by me during the entire duration of being in the store. I guess just because I was walking around the store and ended up not buying anything, it makes me a target...? It honestly made me irate. I sort of noticed her hovering around me a couple times a few minutes before that out of the corner of my vision when I was just walking. So while my mom was checking out her stuff I pushed my cart back to the area in the front of the registers. This employee "Carisse" darted in front of me, smirked and proceeded to say "Are you going to pay for all that stuff you put in your bag?" Me: "...EXCUSE me?" and I immediately pulled all the contents out which included my frozen ice pack, a water bottle, some bakery items I just got from another place, some trash and napkins. Just proceeds to stare at me with the most idiotic smile I've ever seen and mumbled something so I asked what it was that l did that even made it look like I was stealing. Just stared at me with no answer and a dead-eyed expression.
It is embarrassing and frustrating being accused of something you didn't do. Looks like there have been a few other instances of this left in reviews by other customers as well. Will never return even as a guest or reccomend to...
Read moreI went to buy a tub of white paint. Bought it and left on my way. I was charged 3 times by hobby lobby. I went to my bank, and they said that they did charge me 3 times and that it would be faster to go to hobby lobby and have them fix it cuz they usually just have everybody go to the store that the dispute was over and they just fix it, so they printed something out so I could prove it then I took it to hobby lobby. I asked to speak to the manager. Ben said he was a manager. I told him that my card was charged three times the amount and I asked him how can I leave the store without my card being charged multiple times. He told me it couldn't and that he showed that it was only one charge. So he wasn't going to do anything to fix it so I said fine, let me take a photo of his computer screen showing that it was only charged once so I went back to my bank and they said no. What happens is that they have a third party that pushes all of the credit cards, all the charges, and my debit card. So because Ben REFUSED to fix it my bank had to get a hold of it's third party and that third party had to talk to hobby lobby's third party to get it fixed. But this was a simple fix. I didn't have to go back and forth between stores and my bank if Ben would have just fixed it but he REFUSED to fix it. I just want people to be aware and check their bank account because you could be charged multiple times after you...
Read moreHad the worst customer service response of my life at the valley Hobby Lobby this afternoon. In short, the staff were very courteous helping me find what I came in for. At checkout the lines were ridiculously long and slow. There were only two cashiers working. I asked the closest cashier if she could ask for another cashier. She asked if I wanted to speak to the manager. I said "no". She still called what must have been the manager over. She was the most unprofessional customer service (I use the term loosely) person I have ever encountered. She attempted to intimidate me and kept repeatedly asking in a hostile tone if I had any other concerns. I informed her that her behavior was harassing. She finally, for loss of words, turned and left the area. The customer behind me commented to me that she has had problems with her before and that she didn't know how to manage conflict. Miraculously a third cashier appeared. I paid and left. I then went to Home Goods. The staff were exceptionally courteous and there were 6 cashiers with much shorter lines of customers. The supposed manager at Hobby Lobby needs interpersonal conflict management training. I...
