If I could give this place a zero I would. Short and sweet this was the WORST service I have ever experienced. Do not go there unless you want to be treated horribly. The story is under this for context.
We walked in the door right before 9pm they close at 10 and there was one table of four seated inside the restaurant. There was 7 of us and I was one of the first to walk in to hold the door for my grandma who has a hard time getting into places. This was her choice for dinner. The hostess rolled her eyes as we were walking in and when we told her there were 7 of us, she turned to the two boys in the kitchen and shot them a look. There were 4 staff members there and one of the guys behind the kitchen said with intention of us hearing, “a seven top is really coming in an hour before we close.” He then proceeded to still say things with his other coworker about us being there. Only three of us had sat down when he then said again for a second time even louder, “I can’t believe a big table would come in an hour before the building closes.” Looking directly at us, smiling smugly and the only table that was there could help but stare at us. My grandma had not even sat down yet. It was so rude and disrespectful, we decided at that moment that we were going to leave. I yelled back at him, “don’t worry. We’re leaving”. The hostess saw us leaving from the kitchen with her co workers and came out to say she was sorry. The other co worker he was talking about us also came out to say “sorry guys” and then said “I have to go call my mom and dad” and went into the back area. One of the servers said that they were acting like that because they were short staffed. There was 4 staff members there and only one table! I don’t think that any of them were over the age of 21 or none of them acted like they were and there was no manager to speak to about this treatment. We went to twigs who happily sat us.

Read moreMy family went to the Spokane Valley IHOP by the Spokane Valley Mall for dinner on July 7, 2021. Had an excellent server (I apologize, I don't remember her name) and a nice dining experience. IHOP is currently offering a happy hour menu from 2-10 p.m. that includes many meals for only $6. You can choose from burgers, chicken sandwiches, pancakes, omelettes, and more...and each one comes with a side. My wife and I each ordered from that portion of the menu. Our two children ordered from the kid's menu. We thought we were going to be ordering on the cheap because kids eat free from 4-10 p.m. However, when our check came we were billed for their meals. We asked our server about this and she said if you order from the happy hour menu then they can't offer the kids eat free promotion. I understand this but I do wish we were notified when ordering because my wife and I definitely would have ordered off the regular menu. When I politely brought this to the attention of our server she was very understanding and apologetic. She brought our concern to the manager, Bob, and he came to our table to discuss. Bob was also very understanding and professional. He explained the policy to us and ended up taking off one of our children's meals from the tabs. We really appreciated this act of kindness and diplomacy. We would go here...
Read moreEaten here twice in the last week. Good experience both times. First time we had a great waitress whose name we don't remember. We did remember her with a solid tip. Waitress on second visit (Elyvia) was awesome. Young and obviously not an old hand, she had her job down pat. Great service, great personality. The type of person who is going far whatever she does. The food was again great. Done to perfection. Only iwsue was cook noy being able to get hash nbrowns out the same time as the omelette. They were ordered as an additional side so we'll let that slide. Definitely a 5 star effort. The Now the reason it is a 4 star review. This is Washington where the COVID rules are strict. Signs in restaurant say "Keep 6 feet apart" The lead waitress on the second visit kept seating people in one section of the restaurant leaving 3 sections empty and the one section seating everyone including some coughing kids. For us older folk, we do not want to be seated in this environment. If it had been that way when we came in we would have requested seating elsewhere or left the restaurant. Neither COVID nor Flu are...
