Norman's Hallmark Shop — Local services in Springfield Township

I was at this location on Sunday, November 10 and I don’t think I will ever return to this location. My daughter and I stopped in to buy birthday cards for her daughter/my granddaughter. There were a few customers in the store at the time. When we went to check out there were 2 cashiers working, one behind the counter and the other helping someone on the floor. A customer had just approached the counter with an overflowing basket and there was an issue with her Hallmark card. The cashier told her she would have to step aside and handle it as she had a line but the customer said she would take care of it online later. The cashier proceeded to ring the sale and at the 10 minute mark I walked over to the other register. The entire time the customer was at the counter she scratched her head then would shake whatever fell from her head on to her clothes onto the counter. The customer obviously had an issue and that wasn’t my concern. What bothered me was once the customer was finished the cashier never cleaned the counter or any of the items she touched after she scratched her head. This is very unsanitary. My cashier on the other hand was plain rude. She dealt with the customer in front of me for at least 5 minutes then when my turn came she greeted me with “HALLMARK CARD?” I assumed she was asking if I was buying a card and I said yes. Her next question was “PHONE NUMBER?” I told her I didn’t have a card and she rang up my sale and handed me my change and receipt. There was no thanking me or have a nice day. She really needs to learn some customer service skills. I work with the public and have for the past 35 years and no matter how bad of a day or problems I have, and I have had many, I never portray it to the customer. Sandy was amazing!! So cheerful and polite. She gift wrapped our present and did it with a smile on her face. No question or task you asked seemed to be an inconvenience. Constantly frequent here and will still be back. Thank you for being so pleasant...

I love Hallmark and shop there all the time for my gifts and cards! Please tell me you did not change the flavors of those great jelly beans! The one I brought today near JFK Blvd, Philadelphia was definitely not the same!...
