I always forget about Aldi's when it comes to my groceries. On the times when I do remember it, I am very happy I did. On average, their groceries do seem to cost less than other grocery stores when the gutters are not in sale. They do have a decent variety of few brands as well. This may seem like a disadvantage, but there is something liberating about not looking at a dozen brands of soup to determine which one you want.
There is also that odd isle with seemly random items it. Sometimes you can find some good stuff there.
Downsides- if you do not have a quarter for a cart, then you are going to be carrying your groceries. I'll learn to keep a quarter aside for it one of these days. You do need to pay for bags unless you bring your own. There are not much though.

No carts to bump into your car. No worry or having a soaking wet cart when it's raining outside. The last time we went, we did have a small problem. We ended up having to wait for almost 5 minutes for the cashier to check us out. The cashiers do seem pretty rough with the items, too. Oh, and by the way... has anyone noticed that this place is being represented by some cobweb covered grapes?! That's...
