Penn Station East Coast Subs — Restaurant in Springfield

Went here for a quick lunch, food & Service was subpar. They forgot toppings and after informing a worker, they said "I don't care"... then after the worker was informed, another worker was picking up stuff off the floor and without washing hands or putting on gloves, added the missing toppings to our sub. Then I said please remake that because I'm not eating something that someone touched without gloves on with unclean hands. During this time another worker fell because the floor behind the counter was covered in food and debris. The sub was then remade, I sat down to eat, & now after taking a bite there was a 6 or 7 inch hair in my food because no one was wearing a hair net or had their hair neatly pulled up to avoid this problem. The manager was alerted at this point and they comped (only) my sub which I didn't get to eat anyways. Absolutely terrible experience and we will not be going back here for a very long time, if ever. I’ve been coming here since the age of 10. My order has never been messed up and the one time it is I returned with my sandwich.

I ordered a pizza sub with light pizza sauce because typically they put way too much pizza sauce on their subs. I get the sub and the first but I take has none at all and I open it and see there isn’t a drop of sauce on it. I go and let them know and the woman who took the order offers to remake it.

The manager then walks it back to us at the drive through window and says “This is what you ordered” and hands it back. Completely rude. The sandwich didn’t even need remade they could have just actually put sauce on it and I’d have been happy. Terrible management that up until now had never acted this way.

I have only ordered here a couple of times, but I will never get food from them again. The two times I got a cheesesteak here the bun was completely soggy from liquid from the steak. I couldn’t even eat it. Also, I used to deliver for Doordash and one of the managers. There is completely rude to the Doordash drivers. One time I waited for 45 minutes to pick up an order while I was watching people walk in the door and place an order and have their food in 10 to 15 minutes. When I complained about it and asked about the order, the manager was very rude about it and acted like she couldn’t be bothered to make sure I got my order and didn’t have to wait any longer. After that I stopped taking Doordash orders from there because that ind of poor service gives a very bad reputation to the driver, and is very unfair to the customer who is waiting for their order.
