Title: Extremely Disappointed with Walgreens Pharmacy - Slow Service and Insurance Hassles
Review: I am utterly disappointed with the Walgreens pharmacy and their abysmal service. I have never encountered such a slow and inefficient pharmacy in my life. It is beyond frustrating to witness their lackadaisical approach towards customer service and their refusal to contact insurers for necessary information. I cannot express how grateful I am to have switched to Walmart pharmacy, where I am treated with respect and efficiency.
First and foremost, the speed at which Walgreens operates is mind-bogglingly slow. Every time I visit, I am forced to wait for an eternity, even for the simplest of tasks. It seems like the staff is more interested in chatting amongst themselves than attending to the needs of the customers. It is incredibly disrespectful and a complete waste of my time.
Furthermore, the most infuriating aspect of Walgreens pharmacy is their refusal to contact insurers. It is their responsibility to ensure that customers receive the medications they need, and yet they consistently fail to do so. Instead of taking the initiative to reach out to insurers and resolve any issues, they simply shrug their shoulders and expect the customer to handle it themselves. This is unacceptable and demonstrates a complete lack of professionalism. This is the only place I’ve ever been told “that’s not a service we provide”. In reference to contacting insures.
In stark contrast, Walmart pharmacy has been a breath of fresh air. The staff at Walmart is efficient, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about their customers. They go above and beyond to ensure that insurance matters are handled promptly and effectively. I am grateful to have found a pharmacy that values my time and prioritizes my well-being.
To anyone considering using Walgreens pharmacy, I strongly advise against it. Save yourself the frustration and wasted time by choosing a pharmacy that actually cares about its customers. Walmart pharmacy has proven to be a reliable and efficient alternative, and I am grateful to have...

A woman answered and told me the prescription was canceled by my son's doctor. I was very confused by this and was asking questions and trying to give her a history of the prescription and see if she was possibly missing something. She replied to me, "So you're calling me a liar". I absolutely was not calling her a liar. I was just trying to get to the bottom of this issue and get my son his medication. I explained this to her. She seemed to calm down a bit after that and said she didn't know if it was in stock. If it is in stock, she would fill it. If it isn't then I would have to wait until their shipment came in. I asked her what her name was and she paused for a long time and said her name is Julie. I then asked to speak to a manager. She said there was no manager on duty currently. I asked if there was a shift lead and she said ok and put me on hold. I waited on hold for a long time, and a male pharmacy tech finally answered the phone. I told him Julie had put me on hold while I waited to talk to a manager. He said there was no Julie in the pharmacy. I asked him what her real name was 3 times, and he refused to tell me. Then he put me on hold. Since this was going nowhere, I hung up, called back, and asked to talk to the store manager, who was on duty, by the way. She was very helpful and took my complaint about the pharmacist. I can't believe a pharmacist would behave this way towards a customer. This fake Julie shouldn't be employed at Walgreens if they want to keep their customers.
They only had one cashier in the pharmacy this afternoon. I waited in line for 45 min. When I got to the front of the line, they had to spend 20 min looking for my prescription. If this wasn’t a problem that keeps reoccurring, I wouldn’t leave a review. However, this happens all the time. They need to hire...
Read moreI dropped off 5 prescriptions at the drive through at about 12:15 on the way home from some oral surgery. Asked for an estimated time to come back to pick up, and was told 2 hours, and that they would text me. 3 1/2 hours later, no text, so I figured I'd just run down there and pick up the prescriptions. Sat at the window for 15 minutes waiting for them to find my prescriptions, no explanations from the staff, in fact I had to call in to the microphone system to even get someones attention, meanwhile, the cars behind me were getting upset at the delay and pulling out and leaving. (felt bad for them but what could I do?) Finally, a staff member informed me that they had never filled the prescriptions, and I would have to wait while they filled them. No explanations, no apologies, no timetable for completion, and certainly no hurry. At that point I had had enough, and asked for the prescriptions back so I could go to another pharmacy. With a look of pure disdain, the gal handed me back my prescriptions, and I headed over to Reams. When I handed the stack of prescriptions to the folks at Reams (they were super helpful, courteous, and professional), they pointed out that I only had four prescriptions. So I had to drive back to Walgreens, ask for my 5th prescription, wait another 5 minutes for them to find it, and return to Reams, where they already had my other four prescriptions ready, and knowing how long of a process it had been expedited my last prescription for me ASAP. Thanks Reams :)
I'm not writing this negative review because my prescriptions had been misplaced and had not been filled 3.5 hours later, I totally understand that things like that happen, nobody is perfect. What was most frustrating was how discourteously and unprofessionally I...
