St. Matthews Ace Hardware and Paint — Local services in St. Matthews

Bigger on the inside than outside. Reminds me of a Tardis. This is the first time I’ve been in this new hardware store that opened recently. I must say I was very impressed. A great selection of many of the items they carry. If you need a smoker, grill or parts they have most of the major manufacturers grills including Weber and the big green egg and pellet smokers. They have a great selection of various accessories as well.

If you need a bolt or nut They have a large selection and with the outstanding service you will get you’ll find it will be much easier to locate the right hardware here as opposed to the big box stores. Very good selection of plumbing parts for sinks and toilets. They also have a good selection of outdoor tools, hoses and fittings.

There is a lot more and you’ll be amazed with how much they have when you walk in. I thought their prices were very reasonable as well and in line with the major big box stores like Lowe’s and Home Depot. Much better service too. This will be my go to store for hardware related items before I try the large competitors. It’s good to have another real hardware store right in the heart of St. Matthews again. Between this store and Sutherland Hardware on Brownsboro you should find all you need.

Update: Found a nylon screw that nobody else had and discovered 35’ of both sides of an aisle with nothing but screws, knobs, washers for just about anything....

I stopped in for a quick tool I needed and had found it through an online search. I had never been here before, but I'm so glad my search brought me here. Aside from the normal hardware store items they have an AMAZING and fun selection of rubs, marinades, sauces, etc. for grilling and cooking. From local small business items to sauces across the states. These are great for gift giving if you have an avid chef in your life. After years of walking in circles at large, big box hardware stores looking for things, with no offers of assistance from staff, the first time I walked into Ace Hardware St. Matthews was a relief.
