I’m a burger and fries type of guy- and every time a new burger place opens , I feel it’s my obligation to check them out and see how they compare. 5 Guys isn’t exactly new, but it was my first time there and immediately through the doors it had a very ‘steak n shake’ feel to it- but without the server staff. Ordering was similar to a fast-food place- and it may actually BE in that category- but it really didn’t feel like it. I ordered a classic double bacon cheeseburger and it may have taken just a tad bit longer than a normal fast food burger- and sides were Available- but not included. However- this is not a normal burger. So far, this is one of the best burgers in Louisville- as far as a ‘burger specific’ restaurant goes. I was pleasantly surprised at the abundant flavor and size per price. Overall, with a friendly staff and accurate price point , I would recommend the ‘5 Guys’ experience and will definitely...
Read moreWhile running errands my wife and I dropped into Five Guys for a burger and fries. The place was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. My wife got a small cheeseburger while I opted for a big bacon cheeseburger, with a small order of fries for us to share. I especially appreciate being able to watch our burgers being prepared thru every step. Our burgers were cooked perfectly, and were juicy and delicious. Sorry for the picture. I was so hungry I couldn't wait to start. My wife scarfed hers down completely before I could get a pic 😁 I really like the way when you order fries, they dump another scoop in the bag on top of your order so you can grab a few out of the bag on your way home. They were both outstanding burgers. Juicy, delicious and prepared perfectly. Great job, Five Guys! We'll see you...

A double is too big and that much meat throws off the balance of flavors of the rest of your burger and toppings. Why do they use this naming convention? Do they think it will trick a lot of people into spending more per ticket? Even if so, a lit of people people don't want a double and it seems like a mistake to piss off customers trying your shop or infrequent patrons.
Based on their boasts posted all over their restaurant and on marketing materias, they seem to be proud of their fries but usually they suck and are soggy and limp. Occasionally they are pretty good, but they don't stay good long enough to...
