If I could give no stars I would. My fiancĂ©, brother in law, and I walked in to look at tuxedos for our wedding this upcoming September and from the first minute in the store, we were treated as though our presence was a nuisance. The first man who âgreetedâ us didnât even look up from his computer to address us. He passed us off to some salesman who was not just incompetent, but outright rude. We never got his name and he couldnât take the time to introduce himself. Within two minutes we settled on the color of the jackets (blue) and expected that he would direct us to trying on some options. Not the case at all. When we explained that we hadnât really tried on tuxes yet and would like to at see how the jacket would look with pants, he told us that we couldnât try on anything. How in the world do you commit to tuxes for a wedding party without seeing how they look on a person?!?? We didnât need to see the exact product but something? He insisted that the best he could do was take the jacket off the mannequin and âput it over your shouldersâ. Unheard of. And I have been to Menâs Warehouses, this one also, and have been able to try some options before committing to one. Well, eventually he got annoyed dealing with us and left to get the formalwear manager to help us. I stepped out to call another Mens Warehouse location and they told us that we could try on as many styles as we liked to get a sense of what we liked. But we decided to give the manager a shot because of the convenience of the location to where we live. Well we had to coax him into letting us try on anything as well and he huffed, puffed, and sighed the entire five minutes that it took for him to put my fiancĂ© in a jacket, shirt, and pants. It seemed as though we were disturbing him by wanting to give the store our business. At this point I was so upset, near tears at being treated so poorly in preparation for the most important day of our lives, that I quietly told my fiancĂ© that we needed to leave and we would find another store to find our tuxes. And itâs a shame because we have a large wedding party and it would have been nice to use a store so close to home. We will literally NEVER use them for any...
Read moreBetween my fiancĂ© and I, we have been to this location four times, each time with the intention of starting the process of getting tuxedos for our wedding. Unfortunately, we started looking for suits shortly after Menâs Wearhouse took their sales teams commissions away. The result is that these people have zero urgency to make a sale. Now nobody likes a pushy sales rep, but I donât understand how Iâve walked into a store four times with the intention of spending money and they donât seem to want my business. âwe have nothing in your size, look onlineâ, â oh come back in January when we know what styles we have availableâ âyeah, come back in February, because there are supply chain issuesâ etc etc. Because I have one groomsmen in Japan and another in California, we keep trying with Menâs Wearhouse because logistically it should be the easiest option, but if I walk in there a fifth time and still leave without having made a deal, despite wanting to make a deal, we will be forced to find some kind of alternative. If on my fifth visit I walk out having made a sale Iâll change my rating. As of now, our experience at Menâs Wearhouse has been perplexing to say the least. At least I know Iâm not alone reading over these reviews. What kind of a business doesnât want peopleâs business? The kind that doesnât have their sales reps working for a commission,...
Read moreI have used Men's Wearhouse my entire life in New York with little to no issues. It is sad to say that within 6 months of moving to CT I have to write about my experience.
Upon entry into the Stamford location I was greeted by TRAVIS, who asked me what he could help me with.
After explaining I needed an alteration re-done because it no longer fit me, he proceeded to interrogate me about why it no longer fit without knowing whether I needed it taken in or out and without knowing that I had already paid for almost all of the seams to be altered several times (one of their guarantees).
He then suggested that we could forget why it didn't fit me because it was a year ago and I had probably gained some weight and would need to pay for the alterations anyway. In reality I had lost 30 pound's and needed them taken in.
Once I got upset they removed him from my service and brought out a tailor who asked me where it was fitting to small and needed to be taken out....Again it was to big and needed to be taken in.
Very sad experience. I'm a Fireman and never ever get upset about being called a big guy. This was just absolutely infuriating and complete negligence on their...
