ALDI — Local services in Summit Township

This is my go to grocer with great offerings every week. Aldi special buys are great and they get items all the time you'd not find in our area.Now stocking Simply Nature Vanilla Greek yogurt which is great for overnight oats and BoltHouse farms smoothies,yay!! I do wish all of their fish offered were certified to not be cruelly farmed fish that need colour added to them to make them look like they should if they'd grown in the wild There are so many great things about ALDI to love they keep my family eating better than we could. My boyfriend gets out of work at 7:45 and always does his best to make it to the store by 8. Most nights, he arrives around 7:55, just a few minutes before closing. However, on multiple occasions at the Downs Drive location, an employee (whose name we haven’t caught—he wears sagging jeans) has looked him directly in the eye, let him in through the first set of doors, and then locked the second set right in front of him. We find this to be unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. My boyfriend is always quick—he grabs the one item we need and is out before 8. Started shopping at this store a couple of years ago. They have a decent selection for a smaller store. The prices are always cheaper than other supermarkets and many times even cheaper than Walmart. We especially like the value we get from the fresh fruits and vegetables. They have a good selection of meat as well. Usually can get in and out pretty quick. Staff have always been friendly and helpful. The check out clerks work FAST to get you through the line. The staff even seems to have fun working together which is not something I see at other stores. If you don't shop at Aldi's it is worth a try.
