I always stop here on the way back from Niagara and buy 1-2 dozen to take back to Youngstown because they closed our location years ago and Dunkin opened 5 more stores. So I have 5 Dunkins within 5 miles of my house (I wish I was kidding) and nothing else but a couple of local places that are good, but not open long during the day. Why Krispy Kreme left, I can't imagine.
Anyway, the Donut machine was running. Apparently, they don't even turn the light on because they know people expect a hot fresh donut and they're sick of complaints since they no longer give them out since new owners took over. Well, I'd rather buy from mediocre Dunkin that never offered in the first place, than greedy people that can't see the value in a happy customer. Hopefully, they will learn this lesson before they go out of business.
I remember when Don Pablos got bought out by greedy new owners at Belden Village in Canton, Ohio. That place used to be great fo Tex-Mex. They had fresh squeezed lemonade and mesquite grilled chicken and everything tasted great. The first thing the new owners did was ditch all the fresh products they could to save money so they could increase profits. Minute Maid instead of fresh squeezed, canned ingredients instead of fresh. No more mesquite anything. The difference in quality was huge. They figured no one would notice. They were wrong and out of business in less than a year.
Krispy Kreme already had the reputation drop from the gas station/Walmart thing where freshness suffered for greed and now locations are chincing on the free hot donut that made them iconic to some of us? I don't even normally go for glazed only, but I'd typically buy one dozen alone plus a mixed dozen just because they're so good fresh. I won't be buying any in the future. I don't like the new attitude AT ALL. Goodbye Krispy Kreme. The only way to stop greed is to stop patronizing places that demonstrate it. You lost a customer over a donut that I bought 24x over. Hopefully a competitor will learn from this and put you out of business as...
Read moreHavenât had Krispy Kreme in probably 20 years- ours closed forever ago and didnât go to it.
Was out of town and remembered there was one in Erie so I really wanted to have it⊠having vague memories of how awesome it was.
I went a bit later and went through drive thru. Staff apologized and said it would be a minute which was fine, I got to look at the menu and wasnât in a hurry. When she returned she was so polite and apologetic which wasnât necessary- I work retail and understand how it goes. No worries! Ordered two original glazed. I got to the window and was given them and she refused to accept payment and told me to have a good night.
I hope this doesnât get anyone in trouble and Iâm uncertain of your policies. Maybe because it was nearing close and the wait? Either way, she was so kind and not because of the free product. Honestly, it was enough to make an impression and I plan to return before I leave town to pick up something for my staff at my store as well as parents so it definitely generated more business.
Thank you so much for the attentiveness to customer service and staffing folks with such great manners and skills. Itâs hard to come by these days it seems so it means a...
Read moreIdk how this store has good reviews, I have a bad experience 90% of the time and the only reason I keep coming back is because itâs the closest Krispy Kreme to Buffalo and the next closest is like 3 hours away. This location is ALWAYS out of the specialty donuts, especially if you go after like 3pm, I havenât encountered this at any other location Iâve been to in the country. They also have horrible customer service ALL THE TIME, Iâm tired of coming to spend my money and having to deal with attitudes and people who are clearly miserable to be at work. Yesterday at around noon they were out of a ton of their donuts, they had their lobby closed, and the woman working at the drive-through window had a terrible attitude and acted as if she had no clue what I was talking about when I asked about the free dozen green donuts that you were supposed to get with every dozen purchased. I donât know what they need to do at this location but over the years it has changed drastically for the worse. I know they get very busy in there, but if you canât be busy and still provide good customer service then maybe thatâs not the...
