They refused care for me because they messed up my intake. Clinictions hung up on me and my boyfriend (whom I signed a release for) and everyone I’ve spoken to today has either hung up on me, given me incorrect information, and everyone has sent me on a wild goose chase. I’m now at the ER because the IOP said they’d give some kind of insurence form that nobody knows what I’m talking about. I’m almost out of my medication which this IOP refuses to refill after giving me a 5 day supply and which the hospital might not refill for me. They’ve sent me on some wild chase today, said they would call the ER for me and they never did. I was told the form the IOP is asking for isn’t even used anymore. This feels like insurence fraud and it is most certainly malpractice. I’ve been at the hospital for almost four hours now still in the waiting room because of this insanity. DO NOT GO HERE. MALPRACTICE MALPRACTICE MALPRACTICE. you’d be better off getting multiple emergency fills from CVS than you would...
Read moreMade an appointment for in person, was told I could switch to virtual if I wanted to. Called to switch to virtual, was told that’s not allowed for the first appointment. Told them if it’s in person, I can’t come early, due to long Covid symptoms, it’s physically hard to get up early with chronic fatigue. They agreed to make it virtual since there were no other appointments. That morning get a call saying the NP is sick, ok no problem, life happens. Call back a week later after never receiving a call to reschedule. Girl tells me she’s new and the computer marked me as a no show. Says the other guy will give me a call. I give up and make an appointment at another practice. I get a missed call today saying I missed my appointment, check the portal and see I have 2 appointments scheduled that I never made?? My honest advice, seek mental health treatment elsewhere. There’s plenty of great doctors within Atlantic Health, but their behavioral health program is so poorly run and mismanaged, it’s...
Read moreMy partner was admitted and provided full information to them. He was then withdrawn but then admitted shortly after again and then he was withdrawn again. He was actually doing fairly well and looking forward to the program but apparently they only accept a certain population and can’t accommodate many people. If they had said that from the start we wouldn’t have had an issue but they only exemplify the issues about accessibility to mental healthcare. Now my partner with schizophrenia has no initiative to start another program whatsoever. You can’t even begin to imagine how stressful this has been for me, his friends, and family. Update: Its been several months. We tried filing a grievance but Atlantic behavioral health really has no process for it. We asked for at least therapist referrals. Silence. Now I have to deal with imminent...
