I want to express my deep disappointment regarding a recent experience at your store. For the record, I was part of the original management team that helped open this location, and I’ve always taken great pride in the Polo brand and this particular store. My connection here is not just as a customer—it’s personal.
After a long day of work, I returned to the store that once felt like home to me, excited to shop for my nephew’s upcoming birthday. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I was able to pick out some great outfits. Knowing the store previously offered a “Send to Home” option, I made my purchase and arranged for the items to be shipped directly to him.
Unfortunately, my nephew’s birthday has come and gone, and he still hasn’t received his gift. When I called to check on the order, I was extremely disappointed to learn that the package was still sitting in the store. The shipping label was printed the Wednesday after I placed the order on Saturday—but the box was never sent.
As someone who once helped build this store’s foundation, and who still supports the brand wholeheartedly, this experience felt like a personal letdown. I know the store’s operations and expectations, and I know many of the current staff members. That makes it even harder to understand how this could be overlooked.
Whether this was a simple mistake or something more, I can’t say—but I do hope management addresses it appropriately. A child was left with nothing to open on his birthday, despite the care and money I put into making sure he would.
Please do better. Teach your staff the importance of follow-through and accountability. This isn’t just about a missed shipment—it’s about trust, pride, and the experience customers expect when they shop with Polo.
