Grooming Itself is five stars! I have brought my Schnauzer X(lol) for the last year and her groomer Janelle is amazing. As a person and as a groomer. She’s put up with all my ridiculous requests so much love to her. Competitive/market pricing, but not super expensive. I think my husky would have been around 51$ without coupons.
No doodle fee. Just make sure if you are getting a specific haircut to demat your dog/at least regularly brush your dog and they won’t shave. Molly has had small mats or tangles and they never have full body shaved her.
The rest of the store I would put as four as they mark up prices quite a bit The rewards they give members just turn the products from over priced to market value
Their solid color collars fade, and some prints chip off. holiday collars can go as low as 8$ for a large though which is cheaper then everyone else!
food is pricey and not too good of a selection, a lot of farm and home stores are a bit better and cheaper.
BUT they do price match, so keep that in mind. I have found my dogs food cheap at bucheicts and they have price matched.
I have yet to use any of their other services. I will say their trainers aren’t certified by any means and are often trained only by their own older trainers. They don’t know much about dog sports and will really only do basic obedience. they are also required to push petsmarts products, which means they will sell you the wrong type of prong for money. their prongs have no trachea guard!! petsmart trainers are notorious for selling them
TLDR: -Grooming 5 stars (goes for all employees in that department) -Cleanliness 5 stars (always on top of accidents) -Prices 3 stars, BUT they price match if you remember at checkout -Selection is 4 stars, better then wallmart but Petco and PSP a bit more, at least with food. -Never used training, never will. Pet obedience only and probably 0 dog sports of any kind. -trainers sell harmful training tools. prongs and e collars can be okay, not the...
Read moreHorrified at the grooming job we received today for our golden doodle. I specifically said I wanted to keep her hair as long as possible and not to shave at the "10" setting and they did not follow my instructions. They shaved her down to her skin on her total body and also shaved her total face down to the skin. She had some matting on the underside of her body, under her ears and around her neck and hind legs...but nothing that called for shaving her down to her skin. I did not even recognize her when we came to get her. And I could tell the groomers in the room knew they went too far. I specifically told them not to trim her long eyelashes and they did. They apologized for that, but too late. My daughter and I are so upset with the end results. And I just surfed the facebook group site "St. Louis golden doodles" and not one dog looks like our dog after today's shaving. Also signing up online for a specific groomer is useless. They do not pay attention to that and give you whoever is available. My dog actually seems traumatized by this experience tonight and not eating and acting so strange. I will never in my life visit this...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible. Took our dog in to get a groom and bath. His nails weren't trimmed properly, they were flaking and clicking against the ground. There was feces all over his bottom, which has never happened at any other groomers. He was meant to get brushed out but came out shedding like crazy. The service was incompetent at best, truly mean at worst. I didn't get to see how they were treating my dog as we left for part of the 3 hour process, but when we returned, a worker named Samantha was berating and yelling at a dog (who was very old and noticably scared) because he wasn't exactly happy about getting his nails trimmed. Another girl named Amber was the one who attempted to assist us tried to overcharge us twice, needed help from others for the smallest tasks, and was just plain rude to us. Even the woman at the register couldn't even bother to say "Hello". Just "Phone number?" I am not a person who writes negative reviews, but I will never be bringing my pets...
