Please do not sign a lease here. It is by far the worst mistake I’ve made. I wouldn’t even know where to begin it’s a shame I even have to do this I typically am not the type to leave a negative review. I moved in October 2022, since then it had been a miserable experience. I have reached out to the leasing office time and time again regarding the people above me and nothing has happened. It does not matter what hour of the day or night it is it sounds like Elephants live above me. All day everyday. Multiple times it has been so bad and loud wall decorations have fallen from my walls and have actually Broke. But if you reach out to the useless people in the front office nothing is done not 100% sure what they even do here but don’t go to them for help or concern. Next is the trash situation. No matter where you go in the complex you will be able to find trash laying on the ground somewhere from where kids left it. At least once a day I will walk my dog and she will find some sort of trash, wrapper, bottle or something left and get it in her mouth. You’d think that management would do something about this.. maybe have maintenance clean it up? Not sure but again can’t expect much from the people in that office. The kids in the complex… there is a nice big playground where they can play but instead a parking lot with nice cars is more interesting. I have seen cars hit with balls and I have seen kids jumping on truck beds and even seen kids jumping on the hood of a car. And yet again…. Management won’t do anything. Part 3 of management just not being there for the residents. They don’t care about you here, they aren’t here to help, the environment is awful and the apartments are cheaply made but yet rent is still so expensive. Go somewhere where the people in the leasing office are actually There to help you Take my advice and sign somewhere else. I wish someone would’ve told Me that before I signed this Lease. It’s a shame I even have to give them...
Read moreLet me begin saying I’ve lived in this neighborhood for over two years and have never had a problem with Whitney, the property manager, but her assistant, Katherine really shouldn’t work in customer service. She treats residents as though without our rent and us living here, she doesn’t have a job! Love the maintenance team as well. Anyway, the good: free movie room rental, on-site laundry room, fitness center, and dog park. The neighborhood is located near grocery stores, restaurants, and not too far from Charlotte so you’re close to everything! The rent is the cheapest in the area. Now the bad: B/C the rent is cheaper, Millcrest doesn’t attract the best of renters and b/c families are wanting the school district, several children roam the neighborhood and play in the parking lot denting cars. In their defense, there is a small park and a patch of sand that was once a volleyball court but the net was taken down and never put back up! So they don’t have a place to play and their parents don’t care what they’re doing outside. Car break ins and huge water bugs in your home are the norm sadly. After 4p, parking is a nightmare and you’ll have to park far and walk to your home unless you’re one of the fortunate people who get off work early and get a spot. Unfortunately, there are several stay at home moms here whose cars NEVER move! The apartments themselves are small and outdated compared to all the new ones that are being built. And don’t get me started on the carpet. There’s carpet even in the dining room!? Why? Anyway, if you can afford better then consider elsewhere. People move to Millcrest when they need to reside in Fort Mill, but really can’t afford to live anywhere else or make too much money for the government housing; I know that’s why I’m here. I hope the...
Read moreMOVE AT YOUR OWN RISK. This is one of the worst apartment complexes in this area. I’ve been here since January. The roaches pay rent here too, and there are more families of bugs than there are families of humans. They make you sign a bug contract just to have every bug in the ecosystem living there. The staff lacks communication, they don’t respond to emails, and they’re just lazy and careless in general. The maintenance team will unlock your door and come in unannounced, even when you didn’t put in a service request. For all we know, when no one’s home, they come in all the time. They don’t even tell you when they’re coming. I had a random leak in one of my rooms that was starting to grow mold and the service request wasn’t even filled out correctly, therefore the problem wasn’t solved. They just came in, plugged in a humidifier, and left the light on in a room that had nothing to do with the problem all while everyone was gone. Mind you, we had no idea what they did and why. They don’t listen. How does mold growing in the wall translate to a “leak from ceiling”? This place has made me feel uneasy, unsafe, frustrated and disgusted. Emails have been sent and they have been ignored. The amount of cleaning I had to do upon moving in is baffling. They don’t clean or disinfect, they vacuum the carpet and make sure there’s nothing left behind. The only thing good about this place is the price, which I guarantee you would be lower if it wasn’t in such a convenient area. I was going to wait until we moved out to write this review but at this point I’m sick. Just like almost every leasing office staff, they literally clock in to email the community complaints and ignore their residents and take your money for low quality...
