I usually donāt write reviews, but I feel compelled to after how kind I witnessed a Hallmark employee being today. Unfortunately I didnāt get her name, but I will add some numbers & info from my receipt in this review in hopes that they can help give the store the info they need to determine who she is. I heard her speaking with another employee as I walked in & the other one was saying she was worried to take her break because they might get busy. This employee reassured her theyād be fineācould call from someone in back & had another gal coming in shortly. A minute later, sheās helping a very confused customer who didnāt speak hardly any English. She was super polite in their exchange & was VERY (cannot emphasize this enough) patient with this customer. And what I loved most while listening to her was that it wasnāt forced in any way... you could tell she genuinely enjoyed helping people. Now, Iāve worked in customer service for 23 years and itās tough to say the least. Iāve always considered myself a kind person, but after working with the public day in and day out for so many years, it can really start to jade you. Even I know that as patient as I am, I donāt think I couldāve maintained my cool like she did with this particular customer. The customer did seem quite nice (not rude at all), but she took sooo much time & wasnāt understanding one thing. The kind employee repeated herself calmly over & over, tried as best she could to explain what the customer needed to buy in order to receive the coupon/discount she was trying to get. Iām not joking when I say this went on forever. In the end, the customer seemed satisfied & the employee even helped her count out the right amount due. There werenāt many people in the store at first, but of course all of a sudden there were & everyone wanted to check out at the exact same time. This never surprises me because you see this happen all the time in restaurants.āItās like people are dropped off by the bus load, then they all leave at the same time. Itās inevitable. ;) Plus, they were really asking for it since sheād told the other employee it was okay to take her break. Ha! Always... But in her defense, it was an odd time in the afternoon & seemed like the best time of day for breaks (think it was around 2:30). So she calls the other gal from the back & the two of them handle the line quickly (which Iām in by this point). And, of course, the phone is ringing. She asks her present customer if itās okay to put the person on hold, then explains theyāre busy & could she please call them back. Sheās the one who ends up checking me out & she couldnāt of been nicer. Friendly, professional, etc. This long review may seem unnecessary for such a few small kind acts, but I feel that itās so hard (unfortunately) to find great customer service these days that I felt it was my duty to shine a light on this woman who is truly in the right line of work in hopes that she receives the recognition she deserves. Letās get this woman a raise! At the very least, she may one day see or hear this & know itās about her. I know people have written kind reviews about my service & it really touched my heart & helped to renew my hope in people & keep my spirits high. Especially at this time of year, what a wonderful example this woman is of how we should treat one another. I regret not expressing my appreciation of her while I was there, but they were quite busy & I thought it best not to slow her down (although looking back it wouldāve only taken a second & may have gone a long way for all I know). I am a little shy (no excuse I know). So to the managers of this store (it may be her??) I hope you see this & acknowledge what a wonderful employee you have! Here are some numbers from the bottom of my receipt that I hope are helpful: She was at register #1 at 2:26 on Tues, Dec 15th. Above Reg #, the numbers are: 992TMAR and to the far right of that (same line & above time) it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just love this store! Normally itās friendly and inviting but today was very disappointing. The staff was far from friendly and happy. The young lady helping me check out was rude and seamed upset when I questioned the total she rang up. My total came up very high so I had her take a top off that I wanted. Anyways after taking it off it was still high so I questioned it again. She said to me rudely āyou wanted me to show you!?!?! I was a little embarrassed so I said ā no itās fineā. After she gave me the receipt I did notice she over rang me by charging me twice for a Willow Tree Angel. I let Her know and she corrected. I was going to have her add the shirt back but I was already embarrassed. I just left. She never apologize or anything. What a bummer! She lost a sale and I didnāt get a cute shirt I wanted because she was rude and made me feel uncomfortable. Not sure Iāll be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just left Hallmark right now trying to get a card for my father for his birthday, the woman asked for my phone number I gave her my mom's and I guess she wasn't in the system, she alleged that it needed to be updated and to repeat the phone number so she can update it. She asked me for an email I told her I wasn't going to give out that information if my mom was in the system that they would have that information and she told me to calm down after I told her never mind I just want to make the purchase. I made mention to her I appreciate her not tell me to calm down I didn't like those choice of words no apologies she did tell me to have a good day. I'm just really surprised that she even said something like that to me. An apology would have been nice from a mature...
