Service was terrible. Server didnt ask us for the seasoning or spice level, which you need for the order. Had to chase her down 10 minutes later and ask how the order was in without any of that info. When they brought our food out I had to hunt someone else down again because they didn't bring the bucket/bibs/anything that we needed for the food.
Ordered calamari that when it came, had plastic in it. Manager tried to tell me it was calamari skin and that she would eat it, she grabbed it and no, it was a stretchy piece of plastic. She said that she would put in a new order in the kitchen and that she would also bring us the correct sides (since the sides we asked for were also wrong). New side of corn on the cob came out, it was super mushy and gross. New calamari took 20 minutes to come out, when we were already done with our food and not hungry anymore. Server didn't come back to check on us one time until it was time for the check, calamari was still on it. I told her that I wouldn't be paying for the calamari since there was plastic in it and when they remade it it took so long to come out.
She goes to get the manager who tried telling me that since she said she'd remake it, we still had to pay. When I told her no and all the things that went wrong with our meal, she said she'd take it off, and took the new one that they made to throw away in the back. Horrible horrible service, managers suck, Server sucked. Flavor didn't stick to the shrimp at all and food was pretty bland. Terrible experience, won't recommend to...
Read moreGroup of 10, half kids/adults. Great atmosphere, clean and nice design…. family friendly. I would give this restaurant a grace period for being new, but we definitely ran into service related issues. They seem to be understaffed the Friday night we went. Our waiter was never close enough to get his attention, and was either across the restaurant, behind the bar or no where to be seen. With our food being too spicy *issue #2, we couldn’t get water for some of the kids in a timely matter. The spicy issue came because they essentially mixed our entire order making most of medium when it should have been mostly mild. The waiter did bring it up to his manager. Manager did apologize, gave us a courtesy discount (which was nice because we weren’t expecting anything. Just wanted to bring it up as a learning situation for them) and she gave a pitcher of beer on them. Other than delay in service and the spice mix up, the quantity and quality of food was amazing. Would recommend and come back! We’ve been to a few seafood boil restaurants like this and this spot is amazing in comparison. They just need to clean up some of the logistical stuff and floor management and they’ll be a staple go to for us. We’ll be...
Read moreTemecula has a new seafood boil spot, and Pier 88 absolutely delivers. From the moment we walked in, the place felt fresh, clean, and inviting—everything you’d hope for in a brand-new restaurant.
My wife and I decided to share the Pier 88 Seafood Boil, and it was a feast. It came piled high with a pound of snow crab, two pounds of shrimp, a lobster tail, corn, potatoes, and eggs. We went with the Pier 88 Special Sauce at the hot spice level, and it was perfect—bold, flavorful, and balanced with just the right heat. The seafood was fresh and cooked beautifully, making every bite a win.
The service deserves its own shout-out. Our server, Elijah, was phenomenal—friendly, accommodating, and genuinely attentive from start to finish. He made the experience even better, and it’s clear the staff here takes pride in making guests feel welcome.
Between the generous portions, fair prices, and top-notch service, Pier 88 has already become a standout in Temecula’s dining scene. We left full, happy, and excited to come back for more...
