JOEL is the reason for this review. So a couple days before Christmas I went in to buy my mom a new phone for Christmas, I bought her the iPhone 11 Pro (not a cheap phone btw) and they told me that it wouldnât mess up anything with her current phone because I wanted it to be a Christmas gift, but when I got to my parents house that night and my mom was all stressed cuz her service wasnât working so I had to give it to her then, not as fun as on Christmas but whatever it is what it is, anyways they told me that we would get a shipping label to turn in her old phone, weâll we didnât so my mom went to an Att and they told her she had to go to the exact store that I got it from, I was out of town so my mom has to drive from Rancho Cucamonga down to Temecula with our new puppy cuz she canât be left alone for that long yet. So my mom gets to the store and Joel already doesnât want to help her since it doesnât make him money, tells my mom she canât be in the store with our puppy, which btw is super small not like a big dog, then he tells her that she needs to be an authorized user to turn in her phone, but yet she could make our $400 monthly payment. I am an authorized user and I wouldnât want anyone else being able to pay but Iâm fine with her turning in her phone. And he did nothing to even help, she had a question and Joel was talking to another worker there and he told the other worker my mom could wait and they just chatted for a few minutes. When she got to him he litterly did nothing to even try and help, no advice on what to do next just simply ânothing we can do for youâ so my mom wasted time and money to get down there for nothing. All we are trying to do is to return a phone of my recently deceased sister and close her account. We have now been to this store twice this week, and both times we were turned away. On Thursday, we came in with all proper documentation (Death Certificate, account docs, etc.). However, we were told that only a store manager can take care of this sort of business - and that there was no manager on site. We asked about Saturday and were told that a manager would be available. Oh - consider this too: We live about an hour's drive from this store. So, today, Saturday, we went in again. The customer service (?) rep informed us of the same requirements as we were told on Thursday. ADDITIONALLY - he informed us that an appointment was required in order to meet with the manager. Apparently, the manager was not available - at all - for the day and that they could make an appointment next week. I suppose the manager was too preoccupied with 'managing' the store, rather than simply to have us sit aside and wait a few minutes or return later. Another two hour round trip wasted. The adventure continues. I was assured that a manager will be on site at our appointment time next week. Stay tuned....
May 2023 Monday AM w appointment. I had an entirely and positively better experience. Staff and Manager were courteous, effective, and efficient. (It seems that one's experience here is dictated by which employees and management are currently on duty.) We took care of business quickly and efficiently.    Read moreThis review is not regarding the AT&T store itself, but the horrible lack of cell service for several days All four of our family's phones have not been able to make or receive calls when in our general area (French Valley, Temecula, Murrieta) since 8/4/22. Eight days so far. It has been not only frustrating and inconvenient, but has caused several safety issues with my teenagers. I have seen many people complain about it on social media, so I have tried being as patient as possible.
The lack of cell service became VERY DANGEROUS today as I drove up to the scene of a SERIOUS AND MAJOR CAR ACCIDENT, and could not call 911!!!! Nobody else was there to call! I kept trying to call. It connected, but I couldn't hear anyone on the other end. The dispatcher, sheriff and CHP all tried calling my phone back- and couldn't hear anything when I answered, and either could I!! THIS IS SO UNSAFE AND UNACCEPTABLE. Our whole town has been affected. It was apparently supposed to be fixed yesterday, but nope!
Today after I eventually found someone else's phone that worked to call 911 and assisted the scene of the accident, I came home to call 611. I couldn't call from my phone, but my husband's worked at the time. After waiting through the phone tree and on hold for several minute I began speaking with an agent, when the call failed and I could not call back because my husband's phone wasn't working either. I drove down to the Temecula AT&T store to raise my concern. John was professional and noted my account. He said there was no more he could do other than note the account.
