This market is the largest Korean supermarket in the South Bay area. When I arrived at the parking lot, the parking lot was almost full of many cars. I had to drive around for a while to find the parking spot. They had a huge parking lot, but if you want to park closed to the market, you had to park behind the market. Especially, try to avoid coming here during the weekend. Anyway, I went inside the market. The market was well organized and kept cleaned inside. I walked through the produce section. They had many produce on sale. Their produces were fresh and great quality. And the prices were low. I loved the Korean Melon and they were on sale. I bought lots of Korean melons. After that, I went to the seafood section. They had fresh fish were on sale. I bought some mackerel on sale. The market displayed different signs of special sales. The market had "ready to Go deli section. " They sold fresh made pre-cooked foods. I bought "Korean Beef Kimbum," which is wrapped with seaweed paper and stuffed inside (rice, beef & vegetables) This is one of the simple Korean snacks. Also, this market had a big food court section. They offered various Korean foods. They had fresh Korean bakery, too. They made fresh breads, bread & sweets daily. I bought sweet bread & pastries. They looked so delicious. This Hannan Chain Market offers a good selection of Korean & Asian foods. The price was reasonable and good quality of products. If you like Asian foods, this market would be the great place to shop. I would like to recommend "Hannan Chain Market" ...
Read moreI absolutely love this market! At first I was scared to go in there but not only do they have really great places to eat a French bakery, but the market itself has so many great items you don't see at other places. It is extremely clean there's tons of people working they are so nice polite free samples sometimes. When they have a sale on the vegetables it is absolutely ridiculous I think it was 97 cents for broccoli crowns! Better quality way cheaper than Walmart or any supermarket I've ever gone to. If you want to try something new like kimchi or some other type of seafood you don't feel intimidated people answer your questions. They have a great selection of sake and all kinds of teas and bottled drinks. The best thing is when they have a sale it is extremely cheap for items that are normally expensive. Kind of hard to find parking but if you park by Jamba juice you can walk to there definitely worth going in there the smell is delicious the bowls of noodles at the little restaurants are huge and looks so good I have yet to try them definitely go in there and see for yourself there's also makeup for sale all kinds of things it's like...
Read moreI went during the soft opening, so not a true review.
Layout is a little strange, if you enter through the door parallel to Hawthorne, you are forced to travel to the right when you enter. If you enter through the corner door, it seems you would have to walk a ways to enter the store. However, when the food court opens, perhaps there will be another way into the grocery part, I will have to see next time.
There were employees yelling stuff as you walked through, I suppose in Korean, I have no idea what they were saying, it didn't look like there were samples to try, but they were just standing in front of a product saying something.
Nice selection of fresh produce. I always like to look at the snacks to check out the Korean snacks. I didn't purchase anything this time.
I will update my review at...
