The Bagel Factory — Restaurant in Torrance

I ordered a sesame bagel with cream cheese. The woman working asked if I wanted it toasted and I didn't hear her (it was very loud and she was talking very softly) and she got really annoyed when I asked her to repeat herself. After putting my bagel in the toaster, my friend asked for the lox bagel. That sounded good, so I asked if I could actually do that on the bagel that was already toasting rather than just cream cheese. I didn't think this was an unreasonable request since she hadn't done anything with the bagel yet. I think she thought I was asking for a different bagel, so she rolled her eyes and went and grabbed a new one. I told her no, don't get a new one, just use the bagel that is already toasting and add lox to it. She shook her head at me and aggressively started cutting the new bagel and putting cream cheese on it. Then she wrapped it up and tossed it on the counter and asked me to pay. I explained again that I told her I didn't want a new bagel, I just wanted to add lox to the bagel she had already started for me. She got very upset again and finally finished our order slamming things around and sighing. It was not busy at all, so I am not sure why she was so irritated, but that experience was enough to make me not want to come back! The bagel itself was pretty good, but not good enough to brave the wrath of the cranky...

I walked into this store for the first time looked around, while a customer was paying at the register. I then went to the register to order, and a person walked in behind me, and the lady working in the store started to serve the other person that walked in behind me, ?

the person that walked in behind me told the lady I was there before they were and then the lady argued with me that I wasn’t standing in line while I was standing at the counter, where the register is ….: thinking I was going to order next, ?

why would a employee or business owner Argue with a waiting customer? That you aren’t standing in line when a customer that just walked in and said that I was there before them ?

I thought this was really odd and made me feel very uncomfortable. It’s terrible service so I just decided to walk out and not patronize or spend my money at this store

I've been coming here for many years since I was a teenager.. They changed locations not far from their first original place... Tasty fresh from the oven bagels, my favorite "the garlic bagel 🥯 there is more to choose from, just check your choices on the menu. Staff is sometimes friendly, depending on who's at the counter..After more than 30 years coming here I had one episode with the one of the newest employee who gets a bit annoyed and impatient when you request something. Overall If you love fresh bagels with cream cheese ,this is your place to go.. Try them any way you like , Coffee and tea 🍵 are good. There are also small takeout salads and 3 or more different soups to choose from depending on what day of the week . Barley soup, tortilla soup, potatoes and leak soup, etc. Parking is free and very accessible. Torrance location! The best in all...
