Finding these guys has been incredibly rewarding, to say the least. I've communicated with Sam and worked with TJ and they are both incredibly honest, sincere, courteous, and understanding in their service and offers. There should be no negative reviews on here, period! I really don't believe I would have found their kind of outstanding service and product selling too much elsewhere. It's so incredibly accommodating and convenient.
I totally recommend them to anyone for great apple hardware and maintenance. Just be patient and allow time for everything to be done and for you to get what you need. My Mac was shipped to me but UPS ruffled it up and when I got it the screen didn't come on. I decided instead of shipping it back to drive to Jersey from Brooklyn and see them personally. I did this ONLY because, communicating with them prior, I knew they were truly genuine in their service. TJ fixed the computer up in less than 5 mins and tested it thoroughly in less than 15, and all was well.
My advice is just be patient with them as this is a technical business that's catering to so many; and they certainly do the absolute best they can for you. I'm having an amazing time with my first ever personally owned Mac computer (the iMac 21"). Thank you so much Tech Stop for your time...
Read moreHave to comment on this place as my brief interaction (Jan 2024) was too hilarious. I had problems with fans causing laptop to overheat and called in to see if they might be able to help diagnose any further problems - at best, clean the fans out, at worst, replace the fans entirely.
"If a computer's overheating, there's not much we can do, you have to get a new computer. We have really powerful computers starting at $200-$300."
For a place labeled as a "computer repair service," on Google, that's embarrassing on multiple levels.
Meanwhile, went to another place nearby, they cracked my laptop open, diagnosed the problem, and redid the thermal paste and cleaned it out within 2 days. Other places at worst at least offered to take a look.
EDIT (Apr 2024): The owner responded, and it’s even more embarrassing. They misidentify the problem and call it a chip issue, when I explicitly state- “fan issue”. And it’s cheaper to replace my laptop (which they didn’t know is a $3000+ gaming laptop within the past few years) than give it a temporary fix (aka what turned out to be normal maintenance)? I saw a Facebook ad posted by Sam, who displayed a commendable level of assistance and patience in addressing all my inquiries. Sam had an older model MacBook Pro that fit my needs at a great price! The inclusion of a 90-day guarantee further bolstered my confidence in the purchase. But he did say it should last me at least 6-7 more years!!!
I am an educator and Sam included several useful applications that will enhance my teaching capabilities. In addition, concerns regarding the laptop's age were addressed by my son and Sam ensured the installation of the latest software iteration to preempt any potential operational issues.
