I don't believe how I was treated at Macy's today! I drove there special to spend money in their store and not only was the staff rude, but I was told to basically leave. I was pricing sneakers. I picked out a couple to try on and the two people working in that department basically ignored me when I walked up and asked for help. The one staff said they couldn't help me because they don't do sneakers. I guess that's a separate salesperson and department even though they're connected. I clarified with him that there was no way he could help me even if it meant making a sale. He said no and he didn't know when anyone would be in so he didn't know what to tell me other than come back some other time! I'm not going to shop for sneakers online because of a foot problem and I pay a hefty amount for what I'm shopping for. I said to him " so you're basically telling me to leave? " And he told me yes. I know that places are understaffed, but he made no attempt to ensure that I would come back. Besides the fact that it is an unscheduled day off for me, and I drove in the pouring rain, I guess they don't need my business? I earned points to spend there, but you can bet I'm never going back there for anything. I don't usually react so severely in this fashion, but I just couldn't believe it. They went above and beyond to help me after a stressful situation where my envelope check information was lost before use it at the store. From the moment I explained the issue, they were so supportive and stayed with me every step of the way. They helped me contact customer service, stayed calm and professional throughout the wait, and truly made a frustrating situation so much easier. Thanks to their dedication, I was able to cancel the lost application and successfully issue a new one. I’m beyond grateful for their patience, kindness, and top-notch service. As a loyal Macy’s customer and personal shopper this experience reminded me why I keep coming back. Read moreThe incompetence level over at Macy's is at an all time high. I ordered a pair of NIke's from their website. Macy's shipped me a single sneaker! If there's one thing I know about shoes, it's that they come in pairs. When contacted about this absurd mistake, customer service offered to send me a complete pair of sneakers. Wow! How exciting! Except no sneakers ever arrived. After a week and half I called again, only to find out the 1st representative hadn't processed anything. Great, but now they no longer have the shoes in stock with no option but to offer me a refund. As there isn't a Macy's very near my house I asked both representatives if I could forgo returning the item and simply throw it away. BOTH said that would be fine and that they would note the return as "no need to return item." Once again I was led astray by the Macy's customer service department. As this morning I received an email from Macy's threatening to charge me for the full pair of shoes, which I never received, if I don't return the single sneaker.
